Ode to Maya
Two roads diverged in a woods,and I-—
Took the one less traveled by,
And missed all the crappy poetry, hence
And that has made all the difference.
With apologies to Robert Frost

She gained fame after starting the angry black woman movement. She had nothing positive to offer. Good riddance.

Whether it is technically true or not, I don’t believe their is a better example of affirmative action.
This no-talent woman was placed on a Leftist helium tank and allowed to inflate way beyond reason to just sub-capacity.
Every time I saw her, the performance was so sub-par I wondered what first grader couldn’t do better.
The idea she had any talent whatsoever is unadulterated pure 100% prime bunk!

and that all time foavorire “ I hate WIte People”
also:
“Angelou’s musical style was clear in a passage about boxing great Joe Louis’s defeat in 1936 against German fighter Max Schmeling:
“My race groaned,” she wrote. “It was our people falling. It was another lynching, yet another Black man hanging on a tree. One more woman ambushed and raped. A Black boy whipped and maimed. It was hounds on the trail of a man running through slimy swamps. ... If Joe lost we were back in slavery and beyond help.”
thats POETRY??? her Musical..Style?

JFK had Robert Frost read a poem at his inauguration.
So Clinton had to invite a black poet for his inauguration.
The difference was that Frost actually wrote poems. The little I have looked at of Maya Angelou's work appears to be words set down on paper with no resemblance to actual poetry.
