Immense Explosion in Iran May Have Nuclear Origins
Arutz Sheva ^ | 6/5/14 | Eliran Aharon & Tova Dvorin

An immense explosion has been heard throughout the northern Iranian city of Qazvin, semi-official Fars news agency reported, and many casualties are expected from the blast.

Around 1.1 million people live in the city, which is located about 100 miles north of Tehran.

The blast may be related to nuclear development in Iran, according to the Los Angeles Times. Iranian officials in the past have strongly denied claims by Mujahedin Khalq Organization, or MKO, a cult-like Iranian exile group, that it has a secret nuclear enrichment facility in Abyek, near the major city, according to the daily.

The source of the blast remains undetermined. Several mystery explosions have been reported in the past several years in the region, none of which were ever verified.

A fire has now broken out in the city, local reports say, and as many as 50 people are injured. State media blames an oil depot for the blast.

The thing to note from the post is the epithetic use of “neocons” in tandem with anyone supporting Israel. In some “libertarian” circles, I believe this is the seminar accusation. (Chapter 4, page 6, Para. 3—”Call them neocons.”)

But where exactly does the “neo” date back to? I’ve been a Christian Zionist since 6/7/67 or maybe even earlier. What color spit do the neo-libertarians have for me?

I still feel sympatico with much libertarianism especially as concerns the over-reach of government. But if I have to hate, or even generally distrust Israel to keep my adjunct membership I’m outta there.

And just for the record, some of us really WISH we were young enough to be “neo” no matter what how itchy being mistaken for Karl Rove would make us feel.

If this explosion was related to Iran’s nuclear program, the radioactive fallout from it would be detectable in the western world by now. But no mention of it on newscasts in the US last night.

I caught the “neocon” epithet as well. It may have been the last straw for poor old Flaming Retread.

When I was a child, a lovely, elderly Jewish couple, neighbors of ours, were very kind to me. It is
hard to be ill disposed toward anyone who was that sweet and nurturing to an 8-year old who made
too much noise upstairs. 3622222 (My cat, Lucas Prince of Darkness, just walked on the keyboard.)

I have met some obnoxious Jewish people, but with age, I have come to realize that their first thoughts
about people of other faiths is, “How is this person going to try to put one over on me.” And I have
undergone the “purity test” from more than one baiter who tried to get me to admit prejudice.

Some I won over, and others, not so much, but I hold no prejudice against any of them after what they
have been through for centuries as a people.

LOL. I’d not given the guy a thought, since. He obviously didn’t make an impression, one way or the other ;)

He’s hit the ZOT trail, run out of town on a rail.

Mossad would be my guess. They are not going to sit around and wait to get nuked by the Persians.

did the MSNBC station in Tehran blame Bush yet?

I watched the New York branch of MSNBC-Tehran this morning and they did what they usually do in the face of actual concrete news of global significance:

They didn't say a damn word about it.

(too busy with Hillary, the Women's History Museum bill, Clair McCaskill and the many reasons to oppose Keystone, etc. etc. etc.)

You’re right. Every presidential cycle, we’re scrambling to nominate and elect a true Conservative
who will sweep out the district of criminals and restore our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

And every cycle, we’re attacked and made to bicker with infiltrators, the left cheats, and we lose.

Perhaps we should suspend new sign-ups from April to November in presidential election years.

That is actually a great idea... has this been discussed with the higher ups before?
