"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Securing the borders and enforcing existing laws would be a terrific reform.

Unfortunately I don’t thing that is what Rand is referring to.

Yes, one would think the first thing they would offer is a solid plan of action to ensure this influx of criminals stops - immediately - and permanently. Immigration should be orderly and within our laws, rewarding those that follow the laws and the steps to becoming a citizen.

Follow examples of countries with successful programs for immigrant workers. I was in Singapore a few weeks ago which has infrastructure and prosperity which makes US look like a 3rd world country. Just one example, Singapore airport has several dozen PC’s for use by passengers with free internet. What is the last time you saw such facility in a US airport?

So what is Singapore’s immigration policy?
Their unemployment rate -40%. In other words there are 40% more jobs than there are citizens of Singapore. So do they have open borders? Heck no!

They issue 2 year work permits for foreign workers. There are currently 2 million such workers in Singapore. They must return after 2 years to their country of origin and re-apply for another work permit. So authorities know every alien’s address and work address. They know exactly who is there and what they are doing. In USA we have no clue!

Has someone kidnapped the old Rand Paul?

This is getting crazy. He’s done more to turn away social conservatives in one week than any candidate I can ever remember.

Maybe they’ll return the real Rand Paul for a rino and an intern to be named later.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear him coming out of the closet any moment now.

I like what I'm hearing from Paul. With what Paul is saying lately, it's becoming less likely that Paul will split off much of the Cruz vote.

And that's good news.

Jeb, beware.

Rand Paul is a “thinking” man. He has well thought out policies and ideas for this country. The “knee JERK”, “sound bite” mentality of his critics is just politics. They support someone else.

Listen, and more importantly understand, his positions on the issues. He makes SENSE. Just shouting “AMNESTY” is a pathetic and ignorant response to immigration reform.

“Paul: Still hope for immigration reform this year”

There has been hope for `immigration reform’ every year since 1986, the last time we were assured that immigration reforms were needed.
But the assurances were hollow and because of federal fecklessness, now the problem has metastasized. You critters aren’t worth your salt, yet some of you demand more money!
Rand, if you’re going to try and pull our .. legs, you might at least give us a kiss:
You, McCain, Boehner and your fellow Democrats don’t want “immigration reform.”
You want another amnesty. And to that we say, “Been there, done that.
“You don’t come to discuss the matter,” (as Elizabeth I said to Essex) “You come to rule,” and we say to you,
“No way Jose!”
Try some real `reform’—secure our borders, deport the criminals and enforce the last set of laws you critters passed.

Randy Man
Fact: Illegals PAY TAXES they pay withholding and SS, they pay property taxes through their rent, they pay sales and excise taxes. Stop lying they pay just not under their name.
Fact: They choose to live in the shadows because they are at home there.

Why fo you holed insist on giving away our country?
They are felons, invaders, criminals and they should never be granted more than a green card and a ticket to their home country.

Cruz Tries to Claim the Middle Ground on Immigration

“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation.

“I have said many times that I want to see common-sense immigration reform pass,” he said.

Paul envisions that compromise as some sort of legal status — “status and a place for people here so that they can come out of the shadows, let them begin paying taxes, let them not be locked up and having them run from the authorities,” he said. But he said that status would not include the voting rights “that everybody wants.”
So they'll pay taxes but not be able to vote.

What's wrong with this picture?

Rand Paul is inciting millions more Democrat voters to cross the border.

It is highly immoral to import even more violence and poverty for all involved.

So Rand Paul basically admits they are not Republican and wont vote Republican but he is not sure how to make sure they never vote. He says voter fraud is hyped.

He is probably one of the more misinformed candidates on the issue.

I’ll stick with Rhodes Scholar Vitter for advice on the subject.

I think Mitch McConnell has been listening a lot to Rand Paul and Jeff Sessions and thinks he can pretend to be anti-amnesty until November to beat Bevin and Grimes.

As if Dems would ever negotiate. Negotiating with them means they want 1000% evil and Rs say “how about only 500% evil?” and the Dems say , “No, 750% evil”, and Rs say “okay”. Then the Dems add the other 250% in the “detials”.

Rand Paul is actually even worse than his father. More duplicitous. At least with Ron Paul you know where he stood.
