Follow examples of countries with successful programs for immigrant workers. I was in Singapore a few weeks ago which has infrastructure and prosperity which makes US look like a 3rd world country. Just one example, Singapore airport has several dozen PC’s for use by passengers with free internet. What is the last time you saw such facility in a US airport?
So what is Singapore’s immigration policy?
Their unemployment rate -40%. In other words there are 40% more jobs than there are citizens of Singapore. So do they have open borders? Heck no!
They issue 2 year work permits for foreign workers. There are currently 2 million such workers in Singapore. They must return after 2 years to their country of origin and re-apply for another work permit. So authorities know every alien’s address and work address. They know exactly who is there and what they are doing. In USA we have no clue!
More smart policies of Singapore government:
There are signposts everywhere declaring “Singapore has death penalty for drug smugglers”. Result: there is no drug problem!
Singapore has no food stamps program. If you do not work, and are not disabled, you starve or find a charity.
Singapore has no unemployment compensation program. No wonder everyone has a job!
Gee, you were in Singapore “a few weeks ago”?
After posting that dozens, if not hundreds of times, shouldn’t you update it to months?
Singapore has nothing to do with America and Mexico and Latin America in regards to immigration, why post it all?
“Just one example, Singapore airport has several dozen PCs for use by passengers with free internet. What is the last time you saw such facility in a US airport?”
Agree with everything you said, except I have actually seen such as setup at the Mpls-St Paul International Terminal. They have dozens of free Ipads for anyone to use, and when I was there, hardly anyone was using any of them! I assumed you had to pay for them, till my daughter picked one up and started surfing the web with it. I later learned they were provided by the restaurant within the terminal — the Ipads can be used to order food delivered to each table. But they told me they only had like 3 of them in the whole country...
