SYDNEY, Australia — IT was 2 a.m., just a few days before Christmas, in a remote part of Afghanistan. Eight hours into a 16-hour shift, Ryan, a 23-year-old American naval sailor, was standing tense and alert, watching the footage of soldiers undertaking a nearby mission on a screen in front of him.
Suddenly, a hand clapped onto his back. Wheeling around to look at the face of his senior officer, Ryan knew the moment he had feared had come: His superiors had found out that his enlisted paperwork described him as female. Within three hours, he was on a plane.
Ryan, who is now stationed on a base in the United States awaiting a potential discharge, recently described that day to me. Ryan is the name his mother would have given him if he had been identified as male at birth. He does not want to reveal his real name because his case is being processed by the military.
While the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in 2011 meant gays and lesbians could serve openly in the American military, transgender people still cannot, because the military defines gender nonconformity as a psychological disorder. So transgender soldiers serve in silence, facing dismissal if exposed.

Stories like this prove further that homosexuality is a mental disease.
Telling a man that he is a woman because he thinks that he was born the wrong gender is akin to giving a funny hat and a sword to a man that believes that he’s Napoleon and telling him that if he invades Russia he’ll feel better about himself.
Homosexuality is also a psychological disorder.
“Just plain” homo used to be a disqualification from the military, too.

Correct. There is no such thing as a transgendered person. They do not exist. There are poor lost souls who are so confused that they cannot see themselves. They want to be somebody else, literally. They reject themselves. Likely they have experienced a profound rejection and cannot respond normally to Eros. How sad is that? The Torah provides a way out of this confusion. The reach of the Moshiach is adequate for those who trust in HaShem. As David said, “This poor man cried out to the L-rd and the L-rd heard him and brought him up out of a horrible pit.” With G-d nothing shall be impossible.
The purpose of the military is not to make outliers feel good about themselves, or to advance anyone’s career (although of course careerists use it that way.)
The purpose of the military is to deter attack and win wars. Period. There are standards of conduct with regard to personnel, civilians, and the enemy, but no one has the RIGHT to join the military.

Aren’t most women in the military fairly masculine anyway? I doubt that this soldier looked much different from any other females.
Hmm..this...’person’ decided to lie when they entered the military....and hopefully didn’t lie too much afterward....exactly how high of a security clearance did it have? This is the sort of delusion our leaders live under- that our military can reflect our degraded and dying civilization and still operate effectively.
