When I was in HS, in the late 70’s. Colorado hiking boots were the rage. They look sorta like them.

They’re so jumbled, it’s just noise. They don’t look patriotic. They’re more of a non-statement insult than anything else.

Of course that’s MO.

Perhaps they were trying to convey the political situation in the U. S. these days. If so, they really did hit a home run.

Those look more like Alpine ski boots of the 50's/60's and earlier. (I know they have a common ancestor)
