NEW YORK – The underlying assumption that has led to the increasing legitimization of same-sex marriage is now fueling a growing effort in academic circles to mainstream pedophilia.
Once considered taboo, psychologists are beginning to walk down the same path LGBT activists established more than 50 years ago, insisting that pedophilia is an inborn “sexual orientation,” not a learned sexual behavior.
If people are born with a sexual attraction to minors, the argument goes, their “orientation” should be accepted as normative and not stigmatized.
James Cantor, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist in the Law and Mental Health Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, a large mental health and teaching hospital in Canada and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, is regarded internationally as a leading “sexologist” studying pedophilia.
Cantor says his research concludes pedophiles share distinct characteristics of “brain wiring.” He contends some 1 to 5 percent of all men are predisposed to be primarily sexually attracted to children.
In a New York Times report on Cantor’s work Dec. 22, reporter Laura Kane noted pedophilia “has been widely viewed as a psychological disorder triggered by early childhood trauma.”
However, many experts now, she wrote, “see it as a biologically rooted condition that does not change – like a sexual orientation – thanks largely to a decade of research by Dr. James Cantor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.”
Last fall, the American Psychological Association caused an uproar when the latest edition of its vaunted Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders called pedophilia a “sexual orientation.”
After inquiries from news organizations, the APA issued a “correction” stating “sexual orientation” is not a term “used in the diagnostic criteria

Where are the studies showing that necrophilia is an inborn “sexual orientation.” If it is an inborn sexual orientation then it is perfectly normal behavior. It is sad that I feel it is necessary to point out that I am being sarcastic. We have come so far.

I couldn’t read past the first three sentences before stopping out of fear for my own sanity and intelligence.
When a species that is genetically predisposed to protect it’s young fails to do so, it is headed toward extinction. I honestly don’t know where this leads. Kids are our future. Killing them and raping them says very bad things for the human race, not just for the adults who are doing it, but for the adults who stand by and let it happen.

Yes and in short order.
Homos need to recruit young boys in order to continue their “lifestyle” since they cannot biologically reproduce. If their recruits are too young they can get in trouble with the law. This is the impetus behind all of this.
Child molesters make more child molesters. To break the chain the molesters need to be killed.
yep - wait for them to start saying “not that there’s anything wrong with that...” in reference to child-rapists.

We have already had polygamy and we’ve tacitly tolerated it. The thing is that it’s acceptable for men to have mistresses and for men to have ‘long term affairs’ so long as they don’t commit to these women and the children that might occur from these relationships. But if the man commits and calls his mistress or his fling another ‘wife’, oh, then that’s bad.
We’ve also long had polygamy in the form of a man having a wife and family, he gets divorced and marries another woman and starts another family, and so on. That’s a form of socially acceptable polygamy.
And let’s not forget Hugh Hefner and his three live-in women or Charlie Sheen and his two live-in women. That’s also polygamy.
Finally, there’s the legion of urban black males (I’m loathe to call them ‘men’) who consider it a point of pride to have a harem of women with whom they have lots of babies who are all supported at taxpayer expense.
That’s all polygamy.
I say this not to support polygamy but to point out that what you’re concerned about has already been in existence right in front of you for decades.
There is a lot of "parenting" (and ALL that means) not going on these days. Wild animals do a better job of protecting their young than many humans who have offspring. The act of having kids and truly parenting them are not the same thing.

In plain English, this is a symposium whose goal is to facilitate the removal of Pedophilia from the American Psychiatric Societies official list of Mental Disorders (DSM). B4U-ACT has already coined a bland, innocuous, and inoffensive term to make the idea of child-sex more palatable: “minor-attracted persons.” This phrase sounds almost pleasant, distinctly unlike those nasty and soon-to-be-politically-incorrect words like “pedophile” and “child molester.” (How does pedophobic grab you?) Not surprisingly, the featured speaker is Dr. Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins University, a colleague of Dr. John Money. Child advocate, Dr. Judith Reisman disclosed that the conference is part of a strategy to condition people into accepting pedophiles: “The first thing they do is to get the public to divest from thinking of what the offender does criminally, to thinking of his emotional state…to empathize and sympathize…You don’t change the nation in one fell swoop, you have to change it by conditioning.”
Although first published nearly two decades ago, a special issue of The Journal of Homosexuality called “Male Intergenerational Intimacy” edited by three prestigious scholars (all PhD’s) gives us a taste of what is to come:
“In contemporary Western society, intimate sexual relations between men and boys are considered as immoral…regardless of the emotional contexts in which they occur [not according to Joel Marks and Peter Singer!]…the current social climate makes it rather difficult to look at these relationships in an objective way…man-boy relationships are not uncommon. As in homosexuality, man-boy sexuality occurs and not seldom in a context in which both partners consent…in these relationships a diversity of feelings are or can be expressed: affection, attachment, desire, domination and submission…men who feel attracted to boys have to legitimize their feelings toward themselves as well as towards society.”
All we are missing now is a scholarly “scientific” study which informs us that we have finally isolated a “man-child attraction” gene! An old German expression comes to mind: “So fangt es immer an”- “It always starts in the same way.” What also comes to mind are the lyrics of an old protest song from the 60’s: “And you tell me over and over again my friend, you don’t believe we’re on the eve of destruction?”

So is a propensity to be a serial murderer and sadist to their victims, inborn to some sickos, but that’s not a reason to make it legal and then force people to celebrate it.
It’s “hard wired” in me, to kill the pervert that touches one of mine.

Now I'm not unfeeling toward Dr. Cantor's attitude about all this, but he tells me that underage folks should just suck it up when bothered by some pedo whether they are looking for such attention or not. Shouldn't his attitude be the same toward my Happiness.
