After being chastised by Sarah Palin, defender of Phil Roberton's homophobic and racist remarks, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry is now apologizing for joking that Mitt Romney's grandchild might marry Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's daughter. As black child born into a large white Mormon family I feel familiarity w/ Romney family pic & never meant to suggest otherwise," Perry said over Twitter. "I apologize to all families built on loving transracial adoptions who feel I degraded their lives or choices," she added.
Perry was the target of Palin's, RNC chair Reine Priebus's, and many others' ire after she and guests on her show made fun of Romney's adopted black grandchild Kieran. She joked about a Kieran Romney-North West marriage, while her guests made remarks about the lack of diversity in the Republican party.
Those jokes did not go over well with free-speech crusader and media critic Sarah Palin. "Holy [maybe sic? Who knows?] unbelievable," she wrote. "What on earth is more beautiful [than a diverse family]? Shame on MSNBC for mocking this," she added....

Go Sarah.
Yep I can just hear the sincerity dripping out of every hole at MSNBC....
I see. The meme has now gone from...
It’s Bush’s Fault
to
It’s Palin’s Fault.
The left is all about “Equality” only when it comes to THEM..they believe that they have the right to say the most vile, disgusting things about anyone on the right because its their “Right” to do so
Ditto!!!
Phil Roberton’s remarks were neither homophobic nor racist, as anyone who read the actual interview transcript can attest.
Which means she’s the shadow president, or they’d ignore her. Right?
Again, we see a narrative being played out, their description of Sarah Palin defending Phil’s “homophobic” and “racist” remarks. Phil did not say anything “homophobic” or “racist”. But the big lie is out there that he said these homophobic racist things. People who didn’t even read the interview have been having meltdowns over this.
We know that the word “homophobic” is not used correctly by the liberals, because a phobia is a fear of something. Phil is not fearful of homosexuals, but, that’s how the language is used nowadays.
I am an asshole
is acceptable to me.
People cannot continue to squeeze the toothpaste out and say oops and get away with it
Mot anymore .. to me.
The left does not get it.
They stepped in it big time with the Robertsons, and anything more they say about anything related simply compounds it.
The left really needs to shut up completely about this.
Not one more word. Of course they can’t, which is wonderful.
It is outstanding, that Sarah Palin and a couple others have found their voices in the scam.
There are reputations for honesty being formed right now.
Sarah Palin is scoring 100%.
Ha
There’s low standards and then there’s.. No standards.
Half their staff should have been fired this year.
The network is a cauldron full of hatred and hate-spewing goons and thugs. Race card is their ‘go to’ trick everytime.
Sponsors? Why would anyone want to be associated with them?
No ratings, no scruples.
Dear MSNBC News Woman,
I believe that I must inform of a few things.
1. You submitted some form of comment to, uh, Twitter, right?
Why could you not face the camera, that you love so much, and just say it out loud to the folks who watch you, instead of thumbing out some kind of impersonal note, on a useless website?
2. Your, ahem, apology is not accpeted. See reason above.
“Hounded By Free-Speech Advocate Sarah Palin,...”—Yahoo headline
Both Yahoo and MSNBC can shove it.
Question: Are there no black Mormons?
Answer: Of course there are, and there have been since the days of Brigham Young. True, for many years the black members were treated as second-class among the Mormon hierarchy, and it was only recently that the LDS allowed bishops to be chosen from what they termed “the sons of Ham”. But since about 1978, when the Mormons began to send missionaries to parts of Africa, the growth of black membership has been phenomenal.
But in terms of conventional racism, the Mormons have been singularly free of most of the prejudices widely held by many other white Americans. There is more overt and subtle racism in the White House itself, since 2009, than the LDS ever experienced or instituted.
Is this an op-ed? The first paragraph was full of incorrect opinions regarding Robertson.
Did this "joke" go over well with liberals? If so, how racist, bigoted and hypocritical of them, something they will never see of themselves.
Dictionary definition of “phobia.”
An extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
For those who believe aversion to homosexuals is irrational, it’s not an inappropriate term.
