Pedophilia has been widely viewed as a psychological disorder triggered by early childhood trauma.
Now, many experts see it as a biologically rooted condition that does not change — like a sexual orientation — thanks largely to a decade of research by Dr. James Cantor at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
Cantor’s team has found that pedophiles share a number of physical characteristics, including differences in brain wiring. It’s now thought that about 1 to 5 per cent of men are pedophiles, meaning they are primarily attracted to children.
These findings have been widely accepted among scientists, but have had little impact on social attitudes or law. However, we are left with the alarming question: if some men are born pedophiles, what should society do with them?

It doesn’t matter whether it is natural or acquired. The child cannot consent. It is simply wrong and always will be.

It goes to the core of what is right or wrong.
We had moral codes.
Then we had moral relativism.
Now we have ‘born with it’.
We are on the verge of everything being okay. It’s not anyone’s fault how they were born. Who’s to say what is natural or not?
Thus there should be not moral codes whatsoever.

If a person is executed for a crime they have already acted on their baby raping inclinations.

I don’t think they are born that way. I believe anyone could molest children for their own sexual pleasure theoretically and it is morality and goodness that stops good people from doing so.
I think that any man alive today, if he had been born thousands of years ago when girls were given to wed at 13, could have married and consummated with his new wife. It is our social mores, longer lives, understanding of what a mature female is, etc, keeping good men from engaging with underage girls. Men are turned on by youth, beauty, and innocence. Young girls often have all three.
I know a pedophile principal who is awaiting trial. He started molesting with young teens, and kept going younger and younger for his thrills. Some of his current victims for which he has been arrested now are preschool aged. He wasn’t “born” a pedophile. He was just sick enough to not stop where morality, religion, and society told him to stop, and then he pushed farther and farther down the evil path.
The answer to the headline; yes, and so is philandering, sodomy, bestiality, addiction to porn, incest....
It’s not sexual orientation, it’s sexual perversion and sexual predation.
To speak of "sexual orientation" in the lib-speak sense is to make a pernicious false assertion about human nature in general.

Whether it is or is not is irrelevant. All pedophile behavior is sinful and wrong. Just as all sexual behavior outside of marriage as Christ defined it in Matthew 19:4-6(one man to one woman) is wrong, regardless of orientation.
Getting us to discuss the issue gives it credibility... on this one our answer must be simple and swift - and a total rejection of that choice.
Some men and women might be born with a desire to torture and kill others - but it’s not ever going to be an accepted ‘life style. Doesn’t matter what the percentages are - doesn’t matter how they ‘feel’. Life gave them a bad draw - and they’re going to have to learn the art of NOT ever acting on that ‘desire’.

But according to today’s left, it is always “wrong” to suppress any sexual urge. The left doesn’t get the fact that just because one feels something that doesn’t mean one is obligated to act on it.

We are giving kids birth control and condoms.
Underage girls can get abortions without parental knowledge.
We feed sexual images to kids online and on TV.
Kids are being taught what homosexuality is.
Supposedly gay kids are being lauded for “coming out”. Some are being allowed to call themselves “transgender”.
Consent protection is just a paper shield to give society a false sense that they haven’t turned the kids over to the wolves.
