CRUZ: But Candy, let me press back. It's twice you've said Harry Reid would say it's blackmail. And I want to press back, because I actually -- I think that's a false claim with no basis. The bill that the House passed on the VA simply funds the VA. It doesn't mention anything about Obamacare. It doesn't mention anything about anything else. Now, for hundreds of years, the way Congress is appropriated has been one topic at a time. How is it blackmail to say we think we should fund the veterans? Do you agree? That's a yes or no vote. Now Harry Reid refuses to let the Democrats vote on that. But how is it blackmail to say, we may not agree on everything but is there anything we can agree on? We ought to agree on supporting our veterans.

How does anyone watch that show? Behind the interviewee is that hypnotic moving graphic. I can’t even pay attention, and I usually hang on to every word Cruz says.
Anyway, she is a lightweight compared to him. she must have hated doing that interview.

It is simple: she helped Obama out of corner. “Candy, get the transcripts” is evidence the debate was rigged. What other explanation could there be? If she was being fair, why would she need transcripts that would supposedly support Obama? Why would she need transcripts at all?

Whatever the outcome of the Shutdown of 2013 may be, it has been turning Ted Cruz into a major political rock star whom the Democrats will not be able to free themselves from for decades.
Every day as thousands of Americans respond with shock and awe to the revelations of how extremely high their new healthcare premiums will be under ObamaCare, they will be turning to Ted Cruz as their savior.
Obama needs to get out of this mess he’s created just as he needed to extricate himself from his harebrained plans to bomb Syria, because as long as he and Harry Reid adamantly refuse to negotiate an end to the Shutdown, there Ted Cruz will be on the Sunday talkshows every week representing the ever-increasing multitudes of newly shocked and awed anti-ObamaCare Americans. But, unfortunately, Vladimir Putin is not here to save Obama from himself this time.
The standard excuse for politicians voting for pork is that it was a package deal and they HAD to vote for it. The dems are making it abundantly clear that the ONLY kind of meat they process is sausage. The line-item veto that every President in the world has wanted, because it allows only GOOD stuff to be passed, is right there for Harry Reid to use - and he refuses. He will ONLY process sausage.

Oh I love Sarah too. I wish she hadn’t been tricked into running with McCain. She excited the base but McCain was such a rino that Sarah caught the blame by the other rinos for him losing. Truth is without Sarah, McCain would have gotten less than 30% of the vote.
