On Thursday, the Pisgah Inn, which holds a concession on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina, announced that it would defy the National Park Service’s order to close up, and would open doors for business on Friday. On Friday morning, NPS rangers showed up, lights swirling, to close down the business and turn away its customers, supposedly thanks to the government shutdown.
Pisgah Inn receives no federal money, and according to owner Bruce O’Connell, who spoke exclusively to Breitbart News, “All we do is pay the government money. We don’t take anything from them.” It is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, which was deemed a thoroughway and therefore left open by the National Parks Service. Nonetheless, earlier this week, the NPS moved to shut it down. Michael Litterst, chief spokesman for the Park Service, said, “We do not believe it is appropriate or feasible to have some parts of the system open while others are closed to the public.”

Sounds like the king needs a trip to Runnymede.
This time of year, on Weekends, there are LOTS of bikers, Gold Wing clubs, Corvette clubs, Miata clubs, Hot Rod clubs which come up to drive the Parkway and see the leaves changing.
Atlanta, Greenville, Spartanburg, Knoxville are all within 1-3 hours drive.

The Park Police are supposed to have cruisers blocking the entrance.
Is there a “Tow Trucks for Freedom” club located nearby?

I was thinking that myself, hmmm, obviously there is a different reason why the golf courses are staying open. hmmm, I wonder what that could be?
On a serious note, are all military courses open or just the ones around DC?
Those who pray might pray that these people get convicted in their hearts about enforcing illegal orders. And refuse.
Not only lose money, but spend money using Park Police to enforce shutting down a money making activity that does not need to be shut down because the purpose of the Anti Deficiency Act is for the government to NOT SPEND without Congressional authorization. It is not TO SPEND in order to shut down. That is completely the opposite.
We need to find another term than government shutdown to describe the situation of not being authorized to SPEND!

The money involved is trivial.
It's really simple. It's that the word has come down from the WH that the sheeple must be inconvenienced in order to cast blame upon the Tea Party!
The more the sheeple suffer, the better! It's Obama's fault! It's even beginning to show in the rigged polls.

The ‘plan’ ? Totally believable IMO.
I did quite like how the ‘plan’ became unraveled by the unexpected emergence of “the Militia of One,” the largely unorganized eruption of independent citizens taking their own actions wherever they could with a devasting effect on the common federal collaborators and enforcers that held the government’s power together.
How is this not a crime? How is this not actionable in court?
Doubtless the Rooskies or the Chinese, both having learned how to use this US invention, the Internet, would step into the breach with (somewhat) viable solutions. (BTW, the Rooskies recently acquired a notable US expert on internet infrastructure).

Greetings Pisgahteers,
all I can say is WOW!!!! The last 72 hours have been the craziest of my life. I have talked to more media and congress people than I ever thought a simple, country boy would. Michelle Bachman called me by my first name and told me I was a a great American. Like her or not it was a thrill for me.
So here is our latest. We have Park Service Rangers at our gates blocking entry to the Inn. We are essentially closed at this time. We are still moving some chess pieces but now those moves are taken with a little more caution. For those of you that wish to support us financially call the Inn and purchase a gift certificate. It will always be good and it can be used in the restaurant, gift shop or hotel. We will be in the office from 9-5 until we re-open or at some time when a decision will be made to close for the season. We love you all and are so humbled by the out pouring of support and prayers from all over our still great nation. See Ya Soon,

And per the park rangers: "I'm only following orders" is not a valid reason for doing wrong!
This man should have standing to sue over Obama’s ineligibility. Particularized, justiciable harm.
If there was a groundswell of lawsuits in too many courts for Obama to bribe and/or threaten, maybe Obama would learn to fear the people.
Resist! Take a lil drive up to Pisgah to see the leaves.
