Obamacare can be defunded without Senate approval
The Examiner ^ | 10/2/13 | Christopher Collins

When the House passed legislation to defund ObamaCare but would keep the government running through mid-December, the Senate, led by Senate Majority Leader, Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) stated that they would not budge on Obamacare and the legislation was defeated.

On Monday, Dr. Harold Pease, an expert on the United States Constitution, stated that the authority in dealing with Obamacare funding belongs to the U.S. House, not the U.S. Senate and that the House is doing this all wrong.

Pease said, “Everything hinged upon funding which was given exclusively to the House of Representatives, the only power that they alone had.”

Of COURSE!

I think that Obama knows how to use an EO.

Few in Congress venture out of their BANKS, BROTHELS,
and SEC-LAW-IMPERMEABLE phones, to take time read
the Constitution.

Fewer have read it.

Nonsense and poor thinking. The Constitution gives the House the “power of the purse”, but it also gives the Senate and the President a say.

Let’s not pursue polies of momentary convenience. We want a Constitutional Republic, not a banana one.

The way Obama is implementing Obamacare reminds me of his actions when his elgibility was questioned. Remember when he started the “Office of the President-elect”? Must be part of his MO.

Problem is that there has been a tradition of the Senate approving this and the President signing this.
Not doing this looks like you have radicals in the House.

I’m not saying the interpretation is wrong, I’m saying past behavior would make this current approach look real bad to the public who can at this point barely spell their own names correctly with all the glorious public school education. Public is too stupid to get this.

We already have (barely) a banana republic. Hussein Obama is using our rules to destroy the US.

It is what Muslim terrorist do, they destroy so they can enslave.

If Boehner Caves In to the Court of Public Opinion, which is run by the Low Information Liberal Media, and Obamacare is funded, Obama can then raise every year or quarter his Obamacare insurance premiums as high as he wants to, and the sorry US Congress can’t do anything about it.

Congress will thus be bypassed.
