Three shooters are involved in the Navy Yard shooting, a police spokeswoman said.
One of the shooters is “down,” police said, but two remain in a building on the grounds.
One of the shooters at large is dressed in fatigues. At least one has a long gun, police said.

You know, I wouldn’t worry about making initial assumptions about a situation these days just because info streams are so readily available.
I go with the flow but wait ‘till the dust settles....but would never get on someone’s case for making an initial call on things...just me.

Frank Putzo, an attorney at the Navy Yard, told WJLA he was on the fourth floor of the building when the shooting began.
“We heard three sounds, it sounded like a table collapsing on the ground, and we came out of the office and said what was that, and about a minute later we heard a very loud pop, which couldn’t have been more than, we estimated about 100 feet away. When that happened everyone said this is no drill, go go go. And a whole bunch of us were able to make it to the emergency exits. And we heard several more shots.”
