I suggested this idea on another thread, but Im thinking maybe it deserves its own thread.
Id love to see a full-blown glass roots campaign for Republican voters to constructively express their anger and demonstrate their absolute determination to save our nation by formally leaving the Republican Party.
Id love to see the GOPe face a well-documented and very highly publicized walk-out.
It's easy and free. All we need to do is un-register.
I propose a massive grass roots movement for conservative Republicans to officially leave the party by changing their voter registrations to Independent or Unenrolled (or Conservative Party or Libertarian Party or any non-left party that is legally established in their state of registration).
If you live in a state with a closed primary, keep your Republican registration until the primary is over, and then switch (unless the conservative candidate wins).
Otherwise, lets show the GOPe, the RINOs and the Democrat enabling aisle-crossers that they are on their own and will never win another vote from Conservatives.
In the current political climate, changing party registration is a revolutionary act. And this is a time for revolutionary acts if we are to save our beloved nation.
Its time.
Let's turn our backs.
Cruz and/or Palin.
Call 202-225-6205.
Do this, to achieve what?
Like it or not, my idea will not result in Rat majorities for decades to come. Yours will.
YOUR mindset is the problem, Deb, as time has proven ALL TOO WELL. Maceman's is the solution.
You have ZERO solution. None.
I think the key is also to get all the millions of Americans who are so disenfranchised with our political system that they don;t vote at all interested in 3rd parties that want to restore American liberties to their full capacity. In all of our presidential and Congressional elections, the elephant in the room is the tens of millions of Americans who simply decide not to vote at all.
A RINO-party. Ha. They'll become democrats, which is where they really want to be.
And the Republican party's answer to that was Romney?
What a joke.
Radical therapy is necessary one way or the other if the Republic is to survive.

Exactly. It won't be easy, and it won't be bast, but a third party move is the ONLY way voters can salvage this.
Proud Independent since 2011.
The GOP is the party of gay marriage imposed by Romney and LYING about its origin.
The GOP is the party of leaving the BORDERS WIDE OPEN and LYING about it.
The GOP is the party of liars, and backstabbers of children like Romney and Rove.
Worse actually.
What they are, is political Judenrats for the MarxoFascists.
They are there to help Obama load us Conservatives onto boxcars for death camps and help load the ovens.
That's what the GOP are become under the Ruling Class Establishment.
Do this to get the attention of the Republican Party leadership.
If enough people do this, that hits the Republicans right where it counts. Where do you think they get their mailing lists from to solicit contributions and volunteers? From voter registration roles.
If we could manage a significant drop in Republican enrollment -- maybe 25%,30%, 40%, it would send shock waves through the party leadership. It would send a clear message to the party that it had better court the Conservatve base, instead of ignoring it because "we have nowhere else to go."
If they can't manage a fight against such easy targets as the stupid, freaky, loser Demoncrats, how can they possibly fight "us" who have right and the Constitution on our side?
It could happen in a hurry if the right person stepped up.
There are a lot of voters fed up to the gills with the Republicrats.
Good luck with that. That's a pipe dream. How many more election cycles are you going to wait for?
Why should the Republican Party change if they know that the Conservative base will never leave them out of fear that a Democrat might win the election?
As far as the GOPe goes, they have been calling our bluff for too long. Now it's time for us to call there's.
It is 1939. The options at this point are none of them good. Get out of the Party and work to form another. Staying in the Republican Party is walking off the cliff of your own volition. Getting out of it and fighting for another party is at least resisting and may win. Staying in the Republican Party is like willingly getting on that train while taking comfort from the misspelled and faded “Republicans” sign on the side.
Those "easy targets" are regarded as allies by GOP "political pragmatism," hence the GOP has no true motiviation to fight against them. So, yes, they can and WILL fight "us" as they have successfully done for decades. And like the Democrats with whom they have so much in common, they don't just fight dirty, they lack honor. Remember Romney's devious and deceitful shenanigans to block Gingrich during the primaries on a technicality? A government tyrant statist by any other name has a stench just as foul.
Freaky loser Demoncrats are not their enemy -- WE are.
Time to cut our losses and start pursuing a real solution.
