PLEASE keep praying for @gatewaypundit Jim Hoft, who is undergoing heart surgery this morning. #getwelljim
Jim Hoft is a FReeper who has made a name for himself as The Gateway Pundit by being a bold, independent conservative blogger. For being effective, Jim became a regular target of Media Matters and other leftists.
Jim is also a very nice man who has made friends across the country in his travels speaking at Tea Party rallies and meetings.
Jim has published my articles at times and is always gracious in crediting FR when he picks up stories from here. One of our last collaborations, which garnered a Drudge link, was on the story of the leftist from Austin, Texas who posed as a racist conservative at a Houston pro-George Zimmerman march.
From what has been posted at the Gateway Pundit by guest bloggers and by some who have visited him at the hospital, Jim came down with a nasty blood infection awhile after knee replacement surgery. The infection has lodged in his aorta, from what I've heard, and that is what is being addressed today.
Please keep Jim Hoft in your prayers today and in the future. Thank you.
I pray that Jim’s surgery is successful and that he regains his health.
May the Lord watch over and bless Jim and his family—may He guide the hands of the medical staff. We ask our Father to wrap Jim in his loving and healing embrace.

This is a prayer Pegita has posted and we are in agreement with God’s will and word it contains:
Psalm 107:20 ~ “He sent forth his word and healed them, and delivered them out of their destructions.”
HEALING CONFESSION ~ Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Living Word. You said that Your Word is Life to those who find it and medicine to all their flesh. Today, by our confession, I apply Your Word to Jim Hoft’s body by giving voice to it. You said in Psalm 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made and that Your works are marvelous. I declare that You made him and he is a marvelous creation.
Proverbs 3:7-8 teaches that we are not to be wise in our own eyes; we are to fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to our body and nourishment to our bones.
I speak to sickness and disease today and proclaim that according to Philippians 2:10 that they must bow down to the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every name in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth bows its knee to Jesus’ name.
I speak to his body today and declare that God’s Word has authority over it. I command it to receive the Living Word of God. Matthew 8:17 proclaims that Jesus bore our sickness and took our infirmities. Heavenly Father, I thank You that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in him and makes alive his mortal body.
I speak to his immune system and command it to line up with the Word of God. His immune system will destroy sickness and disease in his body and perform its job, for this is what You created it to do. I thank You, Father, that every cell in his body responds to Your Word. Your Word permeates his body from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. I confess that the Word of God is being made flesh in him. \
Psalm 103:3 declares that You, Father, forgave all our iniquities and healed all our diseases. Father, that is Your confession and I make it our confession also. We don’t judge by the sight of our eyes; we judge by Your Living Word. It is Your Word that lives in us and brings health and healing to every part of his body.
Heavenly Father, I rejoice at Your promise of divine health. You said it and we believe it. Today I declare that we will see Your Promise of healing manifest in his body. Healing is ours because Jesus paid the price two thousand years ago. God so loved us that He sent His Son to die on the cross so that we could experience life on God’s terms. O Father, thank you for making him whole ~ body, soul and spirit. Exodus 15:26 ~ For I am the Lord that healeth thee. Amen and Amen.

Yesterday he underwent lifesaving heart surgery (see kristinn's information at the top of this thread). Brief update on Jim's condition in #46.

Praying that Jim Hoft’s surgeons were successful and the underlying cause of this problem was cared for— and that Jim responds positively.
