Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Yesterday the prosecution provide closing arguments (Summary: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/07/states-closing-argument-two-hours-of-raising-doubt).

Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

OK but there was some speculation in an earlier trial thread that the son had gone out or had fallen asleep. To that I would add maybe stepping into the bathroom.

The Sheriff of that country should have been more pro-active in seeing that the mayor of Sanford did not prejudice the case by the sercretive acts he performed favoring one family and one perspective over any other. The disgust factor for Floriduh is growing exponentially.

The sheriff has no jurisdiction to do something like this. And the chief of Sanford PD answers to the City Manager, who was the one that did the shenanigans with the 911 call.

That would result in a hung jury if it was just one or five jurors. Verdict has to be unanimous.

I seriously doubt that the jury cares about the meals. I’m betting they just want to get home and back to their families and some peace and quiet. But it would be nice if they delayed their verdict until some time next week, to take the steam out of the race-baiting left that is chomping at the bit to riot and loot.
