Today, July 5th, is DAY #19 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Great Expectations? Remember, as y’all have noted during the 15+ months of research, there is so much corruption in the assembly of this case we could expect the State to avoid the traditional witnesses brought by normal prosecutions. We have not been disappointed in our predictions. The state has already won a pre-trial motion to bar the defense mentioning the absence of any witness from the State’s case.
So it comes as no surprise, not a single State investigator has been called, not a single FBI officer, only one local investigative detective, Chris Serino (who supported the defense), and now the profound possibility they won’t even present the Seminole County Medical Examiner. So has the State actually even proven that Trayvon is indeed, deceased? Without the M.E. the ballistics are essentially moot – where did the aforementioned bullet come from? They have not established it came from Trayvon’s body. Think about it.
Because of pre-trial ‘motions in limine’ to exclude the defense bringing it up, O’Mara cannot mention it. Would/Will the jurors notice a missing M.E. = Trayvon blood tox. etc?

I thought all evidence to be placed in a trial had to be provided for both Prosecution and Defense before trial.

Not exactly, IIRC. Improper procedure for handling DNA. DNA needs to be kept in containers that permit air circulation, otherwise mold can grow and destroy DNA. IOW, whoever bagged the evidence for the DNA technician is a doofus who does not use proper procedure. Since improper procedure was used during the chain of custody, all of the evidence gathered by that person is suspect since that person did not use proper procedure in at least some instances (plastic instead of paper container for DNA evidence). At least that is the way I understand it. I am not a ME, etc.

Per the witness, no they are not.
He specifically stated that these are notes he made in preparation for being (cross)-examined on the stand. He said he spent hundreds of hours studying photographs and his autopsy notes and attempted to foresee what questions may be asked of him at trial. The notes represented his answers to those perceived questions.
I have witnessed a deer run a hundred yards after being shot through the heart and lungs before collapsing.
Shot one running one time, he flipped, jumped up and ran about 70 yards, then crumpled.
As you have stated, this one was heart shot. Seems that lung shots drop
them quicker, but the heart must cause something to happen in their
system that they have that sudden burst of energy.

I hope the CE rehearsal was with a prosecutor who gave him lines to utter.
Not bagging the hands at the scene is another screwup, Martin's hands could have been drenched in Zimmerman's DNA. After 3 hours on soggy grass it is a given that evidence would be lost.
I really suspect that Martin did manage to get his hands under his body, by reflex if not consciously.

I have also seen a man shot in the heart and drop like a sack of potatoes. In a calm state the adrenalin isn’t pumping, down you go. When the adrenalin is pumping, that is a different story.
He may be arrogant now but he will be humbled when West advises him that the DNA expert said the clothes arrived (from the ME) in a plastic bags, the wrong procedure for the ME (should be in a paper bag so they can breathe).
This is going to be good. Bao was crapping himself about the defense seeing those notes. West is going to make mincemeat out of him.

My ex-SIL shot herself in the heart (suicide attempt). She was in ICU for months, in hospital for many more months and never fully recovered from all the damage; however, she lived for another 15-20 years at least.

I’m betting this is a huge professional embarrassment for the judge. What was she thinking? She HAD TO KNOW from the beginning he was reading from notes during testimony! It is HER job — not the defense attorney’s — to call BS on that dodgy technique.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving tyrant, tell you what.
