Not bagging the hands at the scene is another screwup, Martin's hands could have been drenched in Zimmerman's DNA. After 3 hours on soggy grass it is a given that evidence would be lost.
I really suspect that Martin did manage to get his hands under his body, by reflex if not consciously.
I do not believe this Bao fella was even present for this autopsy. It was probably done as routine by staff. That is what Bao is afraid of.
They certainly screwed up a lot of things in the autopsy, and collection/preservation of evidence. The simplest explanation that I can come up with is that nobody anticipated that this case would blow up the way it has. The ME comes in, sees a young, tattooed black male expired from a gunshot wound. Big deal... how often do ME’s see that? So he barely goes through the motions, figuring that it’s just another anonymous thug that will soon be forgotten.
Now he has to put on a show to cover his butt.
I’m sure Tray’s DNA was all over GZ’s face. They cleaned him up, TWICE, and the DNA went with it.
