Easily solved: AZ legislature now passes a measure that implements the following:
1. 60-day voter registration waiting period for those affirming citizenship by signature. During that period, state of AZ aggressively verifies citizenship by any legal means available to them.
2. Waiting period waived for anyone offering valid proof of citizenship at time of affirmation.
3. If state determines citizenship is not valid, or state cannot verify citizenship within the 60 day waiting period, state shall notify the applicant. An appeal may be made by the applicant with proper documentation.
4. If no appeal is made within 30 days of notification, state is obligated to aggressively prosecute the applicant on the basis of perjury.
Indiana has a great system for letting only registered voters cast a ballot, they should have copied ours word for word, it has already made it through the courts.
What in the legal reasoning of the decision do you disagree with? If you just object to the result you run the risk of sounding like a liberal who believes the courts should just make policy? This looks to be a decision based on pre-emption doctrine.
I like your analysis... so skip my solution suggestion above and just go with this one.

After spending a couple of day being raked over the coals of perdition for trying to point out one of our candidates wanted to grant instant legalization and a pathway for illegal immigrants, I know just what you mean.
It doesn't matter what you provide to people, they just think what they want to think. Facts don't matter. The actual words of their idol don't matter.
It's right there in front of their eyes, and permeating their ear drums. They still can't grasp it. They refuse to grasp it.
No, they don't get what Proposition 187 was all about. They don't see the ramification. They don't give a fig.
They come here and profess to be solid Conservatives, and then proceed to do whatever they want in the name of Conservatism. Never-mind that they are the enablers, no the very foot-soldiers the Left needs to defeat us.
It just doesn't matter. They see what they want to see.

The minority wrote beautiful rebuttals based on Article I Section 2 Clause 1. Notwithstanding limits imposed by some amendments, the states have complete authority to determine voter qualifications.

Except that you don't HAVE the House. You have 70 (maybe) Members and 7-10 Senators on your side. ALL of the others, whatever they call themselves, represent and are working for the ruling coalition.
The ruling coalition is united around several things that the people are against. They are skilled at setting up phony issues (or issues that don’t concern the Federal government) to break up the formation of any possible other coalition.
Republicans and Democrats agree that the purpose of the State is redistribution. How much, and to whom, and under what circumstances, there are disagreements. But no elected officials of either Party believe that it is wrong to take from you and give to another of their own choosing, for reasons that make sense to them.
Republicans and Democrats agree that you have “rights” - lots of them. They also agree that any question ABOUT your “rights”, or whether or not something IS a “right”, should not be decided by a political process because that is “divisive”. So, they both agree that the voice of “the People” as contemplated in Articles IX and X can only be voiced by nine unelected life tenure judges, and that five of them, at any time or for any reason, can give new “rights” and take away old ones, particularly if those old ones arise out of majority voting.
Republicans and Democrats all believe in “diversity”. They, ignoring completely the results of all social science research on this subject, and contrary to millennia of human experience and wisdom, believe that the more “diverse” our country, its institutions, and any private entities within her become, the more cohesive and productive we will become.
Republicans and Democrats almost all believe in “free trade” and “immigration”. These things are good for various constituencies of both parties while they wreck the economy and the nation.
Many of the People, perhaps a majority, do not believe in any of these things. But in our existing system, captive as it is to the MSM-mandated “process” for choosing two candidates for POTUS neither of whom will change a thing, leaves the People with no voice.

While other states were sleeping, CA voters overwhelmingly passed PROP 187 in 1994. It would have denied criminal illegal aliens from using health care, public education, and other social services in California. (

Then the Feds stepped in with their state co-conspirators and burned our ballots and declared our free election illegal.

The national government is consolidated, just as our Framing generation feared. The 17th made it possible. The occasional conservative we send to Congress or even the presidency will make little difference.
Reform cannot come from Wash DC. It must come from the people via their states.

It’s refreshing to hear Paul and Cruz and a few committee members, but they are not running the party.
