Scandal Watch: Despite White House attempts to brush the IRS scandal aside as "irrelevant" or the work of rogue miscreants, huge questions remain about who ordered IRS agents to harass Tea Party groups, and why.
Every day, in fact, raises new and more disturbing questions that congressional investigators must get answers to. Among them:

At the moment when IRS leadership learned that the IG of the organization was going to check this out...there should have been a question over what was going on, and how do we fix this... immediately put into place.
Even today...nothing has been done, and numerous organizations are approaching three years with no exemption still. I don’t see how you avoid being taken into court, and judges from southern states just might be willing to award fairly healthy damages.....into the tens of millions...for individual cases.
And no one ever briefed the President? That’s the shocking part.
No, the shocking part is that anyone would believe that.
I am overdue for a colonoscopy.
I could go to the doctor, but it might be easier to just file for tax exempt status as a Tea Party organization.
I have that sinking feeling that this and all the OTHER scandals will be swept under the rug. Most already have been swept under the rug.
The first black president will get a pass. Our side is scared of him.
This just might be the break we need to rally the troops of the silent majority.
I pray so. . . . .
We can hope.
One way to deal with it is to start right at the bottom and start prosecuting the guy at street level and work our way up so they become to afraid to follow illegal orders.
When the agents finished their raid, Barnes said they then used the John Doe Company facilities to relax, eat and watch sports on television. Adding insult to injury, after unlawfully seizing the records and searching their intimate parts, defendants decided to use John Doe Companys media system to watch basketball, ordering pizza and Coca-Cola, to take in part of the NCAA tournament, illustrating their complete disregard of the courts order and the Plaintiffs Fourth Amendment rights, the suit said.

Start at the bottom. Start at the top. Work from the middle toward both directions. I don’t care where they start. I want to see them get the job done and put everyone who is responsible in jail for a long, long time. Including Zippy. And not just dems. I’m sure there are a few republicans involved, too. Maybe a lot.
But you’d go from Stage 1 to Stage 4 before they’d get back to you.
The purpose of Obamacare, and any other national healthcare systems, for that matter,
is to deny medical care to political enemies of the State.
We are watching the unveiling of the Rogue Regime.
The depth and breadth of what we are finally witnessing will require a reset ...if we’re going to keep our Republic.
We’ll probably never find anything written or recorded...no paper or electronic trail. But a nod and a wink and an “innocent” remark can have just as devastating repercussions. “Will no one rid me of these troublesome conservatives?” uttered by someone who might reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue could be enough words for lackeys to take the hint.
A special prosecutor is needed, as the Justice Dept is politically biased. Starting at the bottom, these IRS criminal suspects need to be grilled thoroughly, reminded that if they refuse to tell who told them to do this, then they will take the full brunt of the law. Either talk or face jail & ruin.
In my lifetime, the power of the Executive has grown exponentially, while the powers of the Congress & Supreme Court have not. What once was a republic of checks & balances is now a corrupt Aristocracy. Presidents routinely make war without a declaration of war. They control the power of the IRS, EPA, NRLB, & many other pseudo-enforcement agencies who can jail & impoverish ANYONE without due process. The Bill of Rights is "irrelevant", as is the rule of law. The Executive branch & the bureaucracy are immune from prosecution because they control the Justice Department.
I hope when our new constitution is written, a 4th branch of gov’t is created to prosecute illegal activities in our gov’t, independent of the other branches. Alternately, the Supreme Court could have a department to do the above. Perhaps then the crimes of all gov't employees can be dealt with properly.
ha, ha...very good. I wished I’d thought of that two years ago. I could have saved myself having to chug that awful liquid. But being probed by IRS agents with metal objects might have been more painful.
