The top-ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee said President Barack Obama could possibly be impeached over what happened in Benghazi.
Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.) said in a radio interview Thursday that of all the great cover-ups in history including the Pentagon papers, Iran-Contra and Watergate Benghazi is going to go down as most serious, most egregious cover-up in American history.
We may be starting to use the I-word before too long, Inhofe said on the Las Vegas-based Rusty Humphries Show.
The I-word meaning impeachment? Humphries asked.
Yeah, Inhofe confirmed.
When Humphries questioned the likelihood of impeachment, Inhofe said it wouldnt be immediate.....

I agree.
We’ve also been let down too often by the ‘get their hopes up’ Republicans
to get very excited about the maybe, not immediate ‘I’ word.

We’ll see that in the latter stages of the Congressional Investigative hearings after they have had a chance to secure their financial security through retirement, and at least on the surface, protect the military’s long standing tradition of non political involvement. These Generals and Admirals will set the final scuttling charge that sinks a badly listing Obama Ship of State to Davy’s Locker at the bottom of the Marianas Trench where he can be kept secured by the countless shellbacks that guard the briny deep.

Wed need a Senate conviction. Not bloody likely. Unless the pubbies can regain control of the senate in 2014 it's a dead dog.
Even IF they regain contol, there are still too many RINOS without the balls to vote for it.

First, the committee has to start talking about “holding someone accountable.” There were enough facts last week to make that leap. Four dead Americans left to die is a disgrace.

For those who are not aware, Bill Clinton took cash from Chinese campaign bundlers named Riady and Wong (sp). He then gave the Chinese the technology to fix their third stage rocket problems. Loral and Hughes (as in Howard Hughes) were the biggest campaign contributors to his election. If not for those companies and Bill Clinton, we would not have inter-continental ballistic missiles facing us right now from China.
Anyway, we shut down Billyboy's efforts to let China Overseas Shipping Company (COSTCO) buy the historic Long Beach Naval Station property.
I remember that well - just like it happened yesterday.

it's not likely that he's impeached though, just imho.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
I doubt it. The only way the House would impeach and the Senate would convict would be if they really had no choice - someone like Hillary turning on Barack in order to save her own hide.
If it came to that, she’d be finished anyway, so maybe she would do that.
I see him being a 3 1/2 year lame duck. I don’t see impeachment. And I don’t see conviction and removal.

Its ALL politics now. The rule of Law is dead.
We have officially entered the "Post Constitutional" phase in America's history. AND yes the rule of law is indeed dead when you have an Administration that states publicly Big Sis: "Obama Admin Can Pick Which Laws to Enforce. ... " Where is the GOP?? Declawed and GUTLESS, subservient to the Admin media.

Be patient. Watergate burglary happened in June 1972. It took two years for the watergate hearings in summer of 1974.
In an era where "news" is gone in 72 hours, that will NOT WORK. IT HAS TO BE NOW - TODAY - while some attention is being given to BenghaziGATE even by the likes of SeeBS. Two years from now no one will even remember it.

Or was he actively refusing to send aid for reasons of his own? thats what I want to know.
Me too. We’ve got to unearth WHY it happened...coveirng up that they were running guns to Syria? Playing political games with both AQ and Muslim Brotherhood and it went bad? Long standing desire to destabilize the entire region to install the Muslim Caliphate?
We need exposure and facts - not just speculation.

Impeachment isnt good enough. He needs to be removed from office! That's what impeachment is...if the Senate convicts him of it...(that's as likely to happen as the sun will rise in the west)
Article II Section 4
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other High crimes and Misdemeanors.
There are two ways to remove.

"IF one buys into that argument - and I am not disagreeing - then America is TRULY OVER." During Obama's firstr campaign I thought it was becoming apparent that he would have great support because of the ability to play the race card he would bring with him; not only for himself, but for those who would support him or exploit him for their own advantage.
Since he took office we have seen this get played out on almost every issue he involved himself in.
