A Florida food stamp recruiter is tasked with enrolling at least 150 senior citizens in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, The Washington Post reports in a profile about SNAP outreach.
Following 56 year old recruiter Dillie Nerios perform her task, to appeal to seniors to get them to sign up for food stamp benefits, The Post offers additional insight into the program — which has reached record participation levels in recent months — currently feeding more than 47 million people, or one in seven Americans.
The story follows recruiter Dillie Nerios, 56, as she encourages approaches potentially SNAP-eligible seniors to join the program with the help of gift baskets.

Years ago a government worker tried to get my mom on Welfare. My mom has NEVER TAKEN welfare or food stamps.
She later found the gov’t worker was doing it for the worker’s job security.
Can anyone explain why there a quota for signing up people for a government benefit program exists at all?

That news was on the media this AM.
ALL of them: Mom-Dad-older brother-younger brother-wife of older brother-3 year old son of older brother.
They wore expensive clothes and had lots of expensive sports equipment. One attended college & had a dorm room. They were known to drive Porche’s and Mercedes Benz’s. They partied & smoked Pot.
I have worked all of my life & I have never driven either!!
The American taxpayers were bilked AGAIN-—and these people hated America & were willing to kill Americans with their actions.
We have FAR too many fox inside the American henhouse, IMO.
This country needs a severe housecleaning.
We know someone who works as a councilor for the Chicago School System. She mentioned in a small gathering how her main job was to recruit students and families on to disability, not council them on their careers or how to get into college.
She explained that disabled students (ADHD and such) are excluded from test averages for the school and those who are on financial aid, benefit the school greatly in terms of federal money.
She felt lost, and lamented about how this was not what she had signed up for (she is a good Christian woman who volunteered to work the inner city, because she thought she could make a difference).
She said she was always under pressure to get more families on public aid, and on disability.
Government is full of liberal go getter entrepreneurs expanding their growing bureaucrat empire. Obviously this is going on in food stamp/EBT programs. More people on EBT means more Gov’t employees in your bureaucrat mini-empire. More power and higher salary for such go-getters

The goal is clearly to crash the system. That is bad, but if we as conservatives plan well, we can reset it back to 1776 America instead of 1918 Russia.
