On his radio show last week, Geraldo Rivera applauded the Associated Press’ decision to drop the term “illegal immigrant” from its official style guidelines and then decreed that no one should use the phrase any longer, seeing as how he believes it is akin to saying “negro” to describe a black person.
“You can never use the expression ‘illegal alien’ again,” the radio host said to his colleague Bill O’Reilly. “It is a pejorative. It’s like saying ‘negro’ or ‘homosexual.’ It is a loaded term that doesn’t accurately describe.”
“Why don’t you just give me a list of things I can say?” O’Reilly pushed back.
“Illegal aliens” and “Bible thumping” are two things you cannot say, Rivera quipped in reference to his Fox’s colleague’s controversial remarks about the religious opponents of gay marriage.
“I’m not giving into this stuff. You’re crazy,” O’Reilly replied. “If somebody’s in here and breaks our immigration laws, they’re an illegal alien.”
“They’re not an illegal alien,” the host concluded. “They’re an undocumented immigrant, give them some slack.”

Yeah... Let’s just keep redefining terms and watering down the language.
Just like the morons who didn’t like the word “niggardly”. No relationship to the racial epithet, but folks get their knickers in a twist anyway.
Illegal Alien is a technically accurate term. Period. Leave it alone.

How about the German word — schwarz?
Or the Portuguese word : Preto?
How about we use, “Person who, in defiance of standards of good behavior, entered the United Satates of America by crossing the border in violation of Federal laws”
Using the word “geraldo” is like using the word “dimwit” or “pinhead” or “moron”.

Geraldo and Shep smith are the two most biggest drama queens but Geradlo also seems to have a massive ego and lives in some sort of fantasy world where he was the main guy in the radical days and led the protests and now thinks of himself as a leader of Hispanics.
Well Geraldo they’;re ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and I;m an immigrant but came here legally and paid my fees, did my finger prints, background checks, went back to England to get visas and become legal and I paid my way.
I’ll go further of which I hear the kids around here call them.
