On this Resurrection Sunday....take time today....put down all of the news, blogs and all of the cares of this world. Take a walk outside and look upon the beauty of His creation, or play with your child or pet. Find something to do that is quiet and peaceful and let your soul rest in Him today. And remember that He has overcome the World. Jesus is coming back just as He said and He would, and He will separate the wheat from the chaff and all that are found in Him will be with Him forever. Evil will not triumph...Praise God through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Happy Resurrection Day Freepers!
Amen! Amen! AMEN!
I was actually “reprimanded” for saying I would not mind dieing.
This evil world is SO overwhelming. I want Him to comeback TODAY!!!!
Whether I am good enough or not doesn’t matter. What matters is that He comes and saves us.
Unfortunately, we all know the entire world would be destroyed if He did not step in.
Not a good “omen”.
Amen!
Thank you astratt7, for such a nice thread :)
And Lord, thank You, for blessings without number, and most of all, for Your patience :}

He is Risen Indeed!
Wishing a very Blessed Easter to all!
He is risen indeed!
He is risen indeed!
Wouldn’t that be ... er ... um .... HEAVENLY?
Yes, it would and I am looking forward to it. I was, frankly, disappointed when Camping was wrong.
Amen bump
He is risen indeed!
To anyone interested:
The gospel (good news) of eternal salvation:
The Bible is clear that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who died on the cross as our substitute.
He paid the penalty for our sins.
He took the punishment that we deserve.
Gods provision of eternal salvation is a free gift (Eph. 2:8,9).
God, through Jesus Christ, did everything.
All you do is accept that free gift.
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
The Bible explains how to be saved (how to receive the free gift of eternal salvation):
John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He who BELIEVES on him is not condemned: but he who does not BELIEVE is condemned already, because he has not BELIEVED in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Romans 4:5
But to the one who does not work, but BELIEVES in Him who justifies the ungodly, his FAITH is reckoned as righteousness
Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 3:28
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by FAITH without the deeds of the law
John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, What must we do to do the works God requires?
Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to BELIEVE in the one he has sent.
John 6:47
(Jesus Christ said) He who BELIEVES in me has everlasting life.
Acts 16:31
BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved
Acts 10:43
Every one who BELIEVES in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
John 11:25-26
(Jesus Christ said) I am the resurrection and the life. He who BELIEVES in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and BELIEVES in me will never die. Do you BELIEVE this?
He is risen indeed!
that was awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing.
Great for you!!! I pray that the Word of God spoke to these family members! HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!
I can’t remember when I have been more moved as I have been after viewing The Bible series. Such richness and beauty, so real, so true.
...but, neither am I, nor any other Freeper, nor any priest, pastor, or evangelist; not Billy Graham, nor Mother Theresa, not the late Charles Spurgeon, and certainly not that adulterer and murderer, King David! This is confirmed by Paul, who wrote in Romans 3:23 "for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". God is interested in our hearts, NOT our works. Under the Old Covenant, in spite of his very serious sins (the two listed above being capital crimes under that covenant), King David followed the Lord and was called, "a man after God's heart". Under the New Covenant, a changed heart, accepting the Lord, obeying the Bible and being led by the Holy Spirit will result in good works, because the Holy Spirit residing in you, cannot do bad or evil works!
Remember the two rebels (likely associates of Barabbas) who were crucified with Jesus? They certainly were not good enough. In Matthew 27:44, it states that they also heaped insults on Jesus, yet in Luke 23:40-43, the one repentant rebel believed, stating, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. and Jesus replied, Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise. Obviously, he had no good works to save him, only faith, yet he was saved BECAUSE of his faith. Comment # 50 by 'onthelookout777' references many scripture passages that mention belief (ie: faith).
Here is a link to a very uplifting, Resurrection Sunday piece by the California Baptist University Male Chorale. (Hallelujah, Thank You Jesus aka When I Think About The Lord, originally a HillSong piece, I believe) These kids are good!

Happy Resurrection (Easter) Season!
I have a quick question:
Is it better to call yesterday Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday?
Thank-you!
