The chatter is he's up to something, says one Florida operative.
If Jeb Bush decides to convert his media tour into a presidential bid in a couple years, he won't have to look far for a campaign staff: The well-funded education foundation he runs out his office in a Miami hotel is stacked with former political operatives, a large communications team, and a rapidly growing staff whose work stretches into 40 states.
It is common practice for undeclared presidential candidates to build a campaign infrastructure under the guise of a political action committee, but Bush appears to be laying the groundwork for a potential campaign through his foundation, multiple Florida political strategists told BuzzFeed.
"The chatter is he's up to something," said Florida Democratic operative Christian Ulvert. "He has a robust staff and has positioned himself on policy issues. You can safely say his eyes are focused on some form of higher office."

Check my early positing history in late 2011 and early 2012. When everyone was piling on Romney, I said he was just a place holder for Jeb because even four years of BO wasn't long enough for the people to forget Bush II.
Eight years, however, might be enough to let them settle for Bush III.
IMHO they should be focusing on....
* Winning the Up and Coming Replacement Seat in Mass ( Kerry )
* Looking for a Senate Candidate for NJ when the fit finally hits the shan with the Menendez Issue in NJ, and....
* Working on a Strategy to hold the House in 14' our last line of defense...
Please - not another rino. The republican party has to do better than that or next time I’m not bothering to vote.
Please, no more Bushes. I can’t take it anymore.
I’ve been a faithful Republican voter for decades now.
But I won’t be voting for Jeb Bush. I make this statement as a public declaration, and I will live up to it.
I won’t be voting for Chris Christie, either. I will vote for _other_ Republicans on the ballot, but I WILL NOT be voting for either of them. I’ll leave that area of the ballot blank.
If after not one but TWO disastrous losses to a ‘rat as destructive to our values and heritage as is Obama — if that is all the Pubbies can offer up to me, my answer is “no, thanks”.
I’ll be 67 in 2016. I’ve just grown tired of voting for losers.
I’d rather see the Republican party die. If it does, there will be no choice except to replace it with something else — the proverbial “third party” that many around here say can never work.
I wonder if a similar sentiment was shared by members of the Whig party in the late 1840’s and into the 1850’s.
The Pubbies seem as ineffectual as ever, particularly in the months following the 2012 elections. There is, however, one thing that they EXCEL at — and that is marginalizing themselves. The Republicans are well on the way to becoming the “white dwarf” of American politics — there to be seen, but not much else.
It brings to mind the movie “Thelma and Louise”. I didn’t watch the entire film, but others have said that a recurring theme in the movie was that every time they came to a fork in the road, they took the wrong turn.
Similarly, every time the Republicans in Congress come to a point where they must “engage” Obama and the ‘rats, they “take the losing turn”, and make any kind of victory impossible. Not now and then, but EVERY time.
What’s the use of believing and voting for such losers?
I realize your opinion may be different, but that’s mine.
Arrivederci, Mr. Bush!
“Jeb Bush Quietly Lays Campaign Groundwork”
Quietly? Any louder and we will need earplugs. He is EVERYWHERE, and the mainstream media is loving it. That tells the Stupid Party that they are doing something right (they are, from the enemy’s perspective). They are starting very early in picking the RINO this time.
I honestly believe you.
There are people here that would indeed vote for Hillary or even Nancy P. if the alternative candidate did not think *exactly* as they did.
“We are doomed unless we fight back against the GOP establishment and its preferred stock who are supposdely on “our side” because they will be the death of us “
Amen! NO MORE BUSHES! They had their chance and made it ALL worse!
“Is he running as a Democrat?”
No, because he’s counting on getting the religious right to run off the cliff again with him when he mentions he might be anti abortion. Saving all the unborn babies in the world (which he can’t and won’t do as a president) will do nothing to save the lives of our existing children.
He will have a difficult time portraying himself as pro-life with Terry Schiavo hanging around his neck.
That is solid stupid talk
I'm with you on that. But I can just hear it now, Mark Levin in 2016: "I'd vote for an ORANGE JUICE CAN before I would vote for Hillary Clinton" and blah blah blah, so Mark, Sean, Rush, Palin all at the top of their lungs implore conservative voters everywhere to get out and vote for Jeb Bush. Republican establishment and Carl Rove know they can count on that, and as long as they can count on that happening then they don't need to change anything.
New world order is so boring.
Here’s an interesting new world order trivia question, to break up the boredom:
Where is Karl Marx buried ?
If all the people saying “never” right now keep their word and let the GOP know it, starting now, there is a chance, albet small, we could have another GOP nom.
In reality, most “I’ll nevers’ will vote for Jeb like clockwork because they already proved it with Mitt.
Wish that wasn’t the case and hopefully learned a lesson. But if we keep caving in, we damn well better just shut up because we do it to ourselves.
No how, never. Done with the Bushes.
Highgate Cemetery.
Reminds me of the Monty Python scene when the Soviet firing squad led by John Cleese misses its target while trying to execute Mr. Pither (Michael Palin). The guards threw him back in the cell and Cleese said:
"Next time, definitely!"
