A group of eight Democratic and Republicans senators, including Floridas Marco Rubio, will officially release a wide-ranging immigration plan Monday that could give a pathway to citizenship, tighten border security and increase guest-worker permits.
-snip-
Most controversially, the proposal would give a pathway to residency and even citizenship to many of the estimated 11 million immigrants unlawfully in the United States.

Conservatives love affair with Marco Rubio is about to encounter some rough sailing. As it should.
Whatever is done must NOT include a path to citizenship that includes the right to vote. There must be some penalty for illegal immigration in the first place and this also punishes any politician or party that viewed illegal immigrants as a future voting block.
Ok, let’s hear from the pandering dummies around here who want to nominate this first term RINO for President just because he’s Hispanic. How do you like him now?
The whole reason this bill exists is that both sides ‘think’ they will be getting these votes, so there’s no way it would include a ban on voting. One side is right; our side is wrong.
The only thing wrong with our present immigration laws is the fact they are not enforced.
I would like to see what Rubio has to say before I pass judgment. Taking the Miami Herald’s word as gospel is not a good idea. That paper will almost always skew coverage to delight liberals and enrage conservatives.
Doormat RINO/Socialist File.
What part of ‘illegal’ do these Senators and Representatives not understand?
They are putting out the same old canards: enforce border security, yada yada yada.
How did that work out in the previous amnesty bills? Answer: It didn’t, because they never bothered TO enforce the border security.
Rewarding illegal behavior - never a good idea!
If this passes, it marks the end of the “productive phase” of the US and the beginning of the “welfare phase”. Sadly, that’s no exaggeration.
I think that we should demand that any path to citizenship require self sufficiency meaning that one can not be receiving public assistance of any kind nor can their dependents as a condition for a citizenship appplication. Also for illegals there should be a penalty of 10 years before they can apply for citizenship. The bar should be set high so we do not continue to produce an alien voting block that is essentially slave labor and a ward of the state.

If and when Rubio comes around looking for my vote for President, he can kiss my fat behind. He's another liberal who has betrayed this nation.
We so desperately need a truly conservative third party.
This ought to help with the unemployment here.
They are all touting one poll which claimed Americans favored a “legal path”. Yet in all prior polls Americans favor deportation. The poll result is pure bull crap.
Making illegal immigrants into citizens is immoral and is national suicide.
And OBAMA is going to enforce the border?????
The illegals themselves, as citizens, will enforce the border?????
Why should any American respect any law after this?
“Bipartisan” implies two DIFFERENT parties.
...and you too can file for a tax return totaling $25,000 for your 16 nephews and nieces under your new worker permit, don't forget now, VOTE DEMOCRATIC, no one's going to know, and IF THEY DO, we have special "rights" we'll extend to our prospect citizens, DON'T WORRY,GET RICH off the American tax payer
Which of these three will never happen?
