This is the heartbreaking video of the survivors of the Sandy Hook shooting as they sing Over The Rainbow in memory of the friends and teachers they lost.
The 21 elementary school children, aged between six and nine, gathered together to sing the Judy Garland classic for charity and mark the one-month anniversary on Monday.
Some of the children had been inside the school in Newtown, Connecticut when a gunman opened fire, killing 20 children and six teaching staff on December 14.
The students appeared with singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson on Good Morning America today.
They recorded the song at the home of two former band members of Talking Heads.
The track went on sale today on Amazon and iTunes, with proceeds benefiting a local United Way and the Newtown Youth Academy.

This can not be healthy emotionally for these little children. One month out and these kids are on a stage singing a song sung originally by... Judy Garland? Hello!
BTW These kids were coerced into doing this recording 2 days before the _resident did his speech before America in the presence of---children.
Are you starting to see a sick pattern?
"A song for Sandy Hook: Watch the children who survived school massacre's heart-breaking recording of Over The Rainbow in memory of their lost friends and teachers"
(Had to edit because of length.)
What I see is children being weaponized and used to attack my freedom.
I find myself devoid of feeling.
No thanks I didnt wach any of the coverage of Sandy Hook so I won’t start now.
“Are you starting to see a sick pattern?”
YES...actually I’ve been noticing a sick pattern since Jan. 21, 2009.....
These kids are being flat out exploited. I can’t believe what we’re witnessing.
Well, these children have been fed upon by those who consume freedom, and in turn they now aid in that consumption.
It brings to mind an analogy that I will not make for the sake of decency, but to be perfectly honest, that is what I think about what is going on here.
I see future Obama voters. Let them bow down to the idol of government. It will abandon them False gods always fail
Never let a crisis go to waste. The media and gov’t whores supposedly care for the children, but they really don’t give a sh*t about their psych and emotional well-being. Where are the child protection services when they’re really needed?
The NRA should offer them firearms training.
The ‘adults’ have their agenda. I won’t even post the pictures connected with the article. But why are all the children smiling in a number of the pictures in the article? Some kind of a detachment disorder developing?
Have any of the survivors been interviewed and asked about how helpless and vulnerable they felt with no way to fight back? — how many children were killed while they waited for the police to arrive?
... I didn’t think so.
Outstanding point, shibumi, I must say.
Use that which people love the most as a weapon against them...
*shakes head*
What have we come to, oh Lord?
Shibumi (chris37 FYI)
FRmail me please on this part about “maybe they haven’t either” in regards to dead bodies.....
I must be retarded. Nothing about any of this bothers me. All I see is some kids singing a song in memory of their friends. Also, I am a Talking Heads and Tom Tom Club fan. Nor do I have anything against Judy Garland. Or Connecticut, on the whole. So I guess somebody needs to take my guns away or something.
They did the same thing to kids after 9-11.
After WWII, war was not discussed with children despite air raid drills in our City....Rochester, NY.
I was livid to see Gabby Giffords as a Ct guest. Nothing but a another Dem pawn these days.
Recently someone posted a shopped pic Hitler with 4 child props. It needs to be reposted.
Next, will we see a group of children around Obamussolini singing “Tomorrow Belongs to Me”?
Milk that cow dry!
