In the wake of the deadly Connecticut school shooting, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy said she has warned the White House “the gloves are off” if President Obama fails to act on the issue.
McCarthy (D-N.Y.), the foremost gun control advocate in Congress, said she spoke with White House Chief of Staff Jack Lew before Election Day and told him she will exert pressure on the White House to push for gun control legislation.
“I said, ‘Jack, I know the president is going through an election and I’m telling you after the election I’m coming out full force,’” McCarthy told POLITICO Friday. “I was just giving the White House a heads up that the gloves are off on my side and I was going to do everything I possibly could. … If that meant embarrassing everybody, that’s what I would do.”

I used the public school issue to shut up the anti-gun rights roar; living about 2 hours from the site of the shootings (it was in western CT, through a narrow band of NY from where I am in northern NJ), I’m sure homeschooling isn’t an option for many people there.
It was interesting after 9/11 that the news reported a number of women dropped out of the workforce; if it was true I’d imagine they were re-thinking their priorities. Those that had families wanted to start being mothers again, and those that didn’t probably thought it might be a good idea to start one.
She is nothing but a rubber stamp for Pelosi. She used her insurance money to buy a house in the Hamptons and can almost never be found at home.
The GOP won't spend any money on ousting her just like the dems won't spend a dime to oust Pete King in the neighboring district. It's part of the un-holy deal the two parties made years ago.
And so, if I'm not mistaken, is the murder of innocent children.
The only way to get lunatics and violent criminals to quit shooting people is to take guns away from law-abiding citizens!

Why have most of these tragedies have only occurred recently?
Repeating firearms have existed for over 150 years – the Colt revolver for example.
So please enlighten as to why those kind of massacres didn’t occur 150… 120.. 100 years ago?
Why didn’t these tragedies occur back when select fire – fully automatic weaponry were easily available?
Why do these tragedies almost always occur in “Gun-Free” zones – where the law-abiding are denied the right of self-defense?
And why do they happen a lot of the time in heavily Democratic states with that already have tight gun-control laws?
She's admitting she's pro-crimminal. She wants to punish the innocent people for the crimes THEY commit.

What about Hollywood? They constantly put out movies where both the good and the bad guys glorify the misuse of guns in a way no responsible gun owner would. How many people has Matt Damon shot? I believe Hollywood is more at fault than anything else. If Obama was serious there would be an X rating on those movies. But I doubt that Hollywood will even be considered to have any blame since they are all just a bunch if libs.

I’ve been thinking about the possibility of an upcoming civil war. Any thinking, feeling human being should be scared out of their wits of the thought of one. With that said though... I have to admit that it’s pretty much inevitable. There is too much anger, too much hatred, too much loathing that has been building up for years now.
How it will start I have no idea, but unlike the last time it won’t be a war between the states. This time it will be a war on a true civil scale, neighbors or neighborhoods against each other, the citizenry against the bureaucracy. I feel that once it starts it will be true anarchy before the sides coalesce.
Historically most civil wars are instigated by the intelligentsia and some of the “upper crust” who for various reasons want to put themselves up even higher on the ladder looking down at the peons they have fooled into supporting the. In many ways this one is going to come about the same way. The College Professors who promote Marxist ideas, the MSM journalists and commentators that spread the ideas even further by slanted or even false news stories and memes.
And finally by our own elected officials and unelected bureaucrats in government. They do it by making up even more oppressive laws and regulations and turning the government into a “protection racket” demanding more and more money and resources all of the time to feed it’s unending appetites.
So how it will start is still unknown, how it will end is also. All I do know is that no one will emerge unscathed if it does.

You don;t liek public schools then fine but that is not the problem right now.
This is about parents raising kids or should I say not raising kids, spending time as a family and working through their problems.
This shooting could have happened anywhere the anti public school agenda is for another thread and another day
Just like the Mexican people are afraid to go in public while the drug lords murder the people without fear.
