Obama says Petraeus will not testify now. Why can’t he be subpoenaed to testify in Benghazi just like any citizen and give him total immunity so he can’t take the 5th?
General Petraeus may be facing the same fate for obvious reasons. The obama administration would undoubtedly be guilty. If this is suggested loudly and broadly enough, perhaps this potential fate can be spared. Spoil the gameplan with a little proactive defense.
Or...sit idly by.

It appears she may have gotten into his email. There's an old interview with her at the bottom of the above link, touching on Petraeus at the CIA, the writing of her book, and winning a push-up contest with Jon Stewart.

I admit I may be a little slow, but I have yet to undersand why it would have been to Obama’s advantage to lie about the terrorist attack in Bengahzi. It didn’t hurt Bush’s popularity when the two largest buildings in NYC were demolished by terrorists. Why would it have hurt Obama’s popularity to acknowledge that terrorists attacked the embassy? In fact, when it became known it was a terrorist attack, it did not hurt him.

Now the left is eating their own , the death of Stevens in Benghazi, a supposedly gay leftist who was funneling arms to Libyan freedom fighters ( in truth who are mujahadeen jihadists), has brought on a series of purges over the execution of various duties in Obama’s cabinet, and damage and injury to various colleagues, among whom ordinary citizens are not counted, only fellow leftists.
So the cycle of a dictatorship is to seek lines of socioeconomic fracture, the fault lines of society, pursue them according to stated policies, initiated scandal and crisis and them purge those who do not make the grade as A TEAM fascists, those who are not loyal enough to el Duce Obama , for example, or those who have to be sacrificed when el Duce Obama’s schemes fall through.
Now Clinton, Holder, Petraeus, and various military leaders are coming under the axe , having failed in their loyalty tests , or in their execution of thug duties behind the scenes.Its very much as if the mafia has taken over the government. This is standard fair in any society in which fascism has taken power, they work immediately at entrenchment and consolidation of power. Governance becomes a mask, a bed of camouflage to cover what is going on underneath.
It is laughable to see the left recite infidelity and breaking marital vows as condemning Petraeus. They could care less about it in fact. They want a public reason to be rid of a man whop would reveal the genuine agenda of the Obama fascist administration in Libya.Petraeus was given a way out, or alternatively he would have been executed by the fascists who now are in contol of our nation.
Obama was caught with his pants down in Benghazi, and the good general was about to sing like a canary.He has been given his walking papers under threat of death IMHO.That's how fascism works.

In ‘08 when McRino said we didn’t have to fear an Obama presidency, my stomach turned and I had an overwhelming sense of dread. This resignation is another sickening moment. Not only was Petraeus being blackmailed by a black male (our Dear Leader) he cannot unmask Obama and his regime because he still has an axe hanging over his head by the Admin. They can go after Petraeus by having him demoted and/or going after his military pension on charges that he engaged in conduct unbecoming of an officer. Or other trumped up charges. Petraeus is in a perfect Catch 22, and he knows it. The worst case scenario is if Congress subpoena’s him to appear at a hearing to compel his testimony. Boy will he be in a big bind; to tell the truth or lie for the Obama Admin, that is the question. Either way he’s screwed.
It's a bit late for that.
Petraeus impeached his own credibility and compromised his honor to his position, the country and to his own wife.
If his own wife can't trust him, why should anyone believe he's telling the truth about anything?

..and that’s exactly why he was targeted by Team O. But THANKS TO ZERO WHO HAS LOWERED THE BAR OF EXPECTATION IN OUR AUTHORITY FIGURES, a measly affair isn’t going to detract from Petreaus’ testimony. Not one bit. The Dems will remind us during the hearing, of course, but if Petraeus speaks the truth on Benghazi, an affair won’t detract. I hope he’s got good security and that they don’t leave their guns unattended like Romney’s Secret Service detail did. Hint hint.
He made it easy, by chasing skirts, and jeopardizing U.S. security and his own marriage.
