I'd say it will depend on how close it is. If Romney wins 4 or 5 states by less than 1% - a real nightmare of a possibility - my guess is there is a possibility of rioting.
Both sides could see fraud and vote stealing if the election goes against them. In fact, it is almost a guarantee unless one candidate or the other pulls away decisively in the final days. There is no organized group of conservatives wedded to violence who would start a riot, but scattered incidents of mayhem would be possible.
But for the moment, all the threats are coming from Obama supporters:
Despite the issue garnering a significant amount of media interest as well as the attention of the Secret Service, Obama supporters continued their threats to riot and assassinate Mitt Romney if Obama loses in the aftermath of last night's presidential debate.
As we reported last week, Twitter has been flooded recently with violent comments from Obama supporters. The increase in volume of the comments seemed to coincide with Romney's poll numbers edging higher against Obama.
Not only have Obama voters been making open threats that they will riot and cause mayhem, they have also been caught making direct threats to assassinate Mitt Romney, prompting the Secret Service to announce that it was "aware" of the threats and would "conduct appropriate follow up if necessary."
Despite the fact that the media reported extensively on threats made against Obama prior to the 2008 election, their silence on the threats made against Romney has been deafening. Indeed, the act of a few old guys hanging up empty chairs in reference to Clint Eastwood's RNC speech garnered substantially more coverage and concern from the press compared to hundreds if not thousands of tweets

ask the UN..
there will be rioting, especially in the cities
It’s guaranteed.
The real question is “How severe will it be?”
Well in my neck of the woods (Rural West Virginia) absolutely zero. All the guns make even the liberal democrats polite....
It’ll be more looting than rioting.
funny, Im wondering what Im gonna do if Barak wins
There will be no riots, so stop pushing and hoping there will. Disgusting journalism engineering their next headline.
Another way to look at this, they know Romney will win, and they are trying to strike fear into the voters. Blackmail so to speak. Vote Romney/Riots, Vote O/no riots.
Every magazine in my house will be loaded...
A few old guys hanging up empty chairs? Totally wrong.
I’ve been driving around a couple of states and have seen MANY chairs set out usually in a drive-way. Sometimes there are children’s toys in the yard indicating it’s a young family - not old guys.
Last week in (northern!) California I saw a couple of empty chairs. One was hung from a tree. On another there was a handmade sign with the national debt painted on it.
They’re invoking for the rioter’s veto.
Agreed, if it’s close / in question or if the polls even show that it’s close before the results,
there will be riots if he loses.
The polls will have to show the reality of the landslide loss going into Tuesday in order to avoid violent outbursts.
“All the guns make even the liberal democrats polite....”
Money quote of the day!
Here in South Carolina even our local muzzies are quiet. All us armed Bible thumping rednecks, you know.....
;^)
Depends.
If cable doesn’t go out, about zero.
But cable TV goes out, all bets are off.
The evolving trend to assign import to something by counting tweets is downright disturbing... It is a substitute of noise volume for reason...
I confess that wanted to see more fireworks, p**s and vinegar. I wanted in-depth discussions regarding capitalism v. socialism and national sovereignty v. one-world ideology.
There will be rioting, ONLY in the cities.........
I think right now, Obama is only looking for MONEY because he is racking up an unbelievable tab and he needs some suckers.
