A Middle Eastern man tried to blow up the Federal Reserve Bank in Lower Manhattan this morning, law-enforcement sources told the Post.
The terrorist parked a van filled with what he thought were explosives outside of the Liberty Street building, sources said, then tried to set them off using a cell phone detonator.
The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was provided the explosives from an undercover FBI agent that he met on the Internet and believed to be an accomplice, the sources said.

Thanks Olog-hai.
LOL - I thought much the same thing.
What’s wrong with this picture?
Every time something like this happens, the immediate reaction is:
1. It’s not believed to be terror-related.
2. No identification of the perp. No name, no country of origin, no description.
3. If the FBI is involved, everything is hushed up for days, weeks, months, because it’s an “ongoing investigation.”
4. Warning by islamist organizations and our government that we should not discriminate against muslims.
So why is this time different?
I think October Surprise is right, but I have serious concerns that the administration orchestrated the timing.
Not a chance. To establish an entrapment defense, the defense needs to show that the defendant had no predisposition commit the crime. Here, the guy was actively trying to recruit people to join a terror cell, and (according to some reports, at least) "recruited" the undercover agent(s) he was "working with" on this plot. Hard to argue that he had no predisposition to commit the crime when he was the guy trying to recruit others to commit the crime.
:)....LOL!
>>Obammies in the Rose Garden as we speak denouncing this terrorist attack.
>>Meanwhile Obammie, Rice, Clinton, the DNC and all other leftist idiots will spend the next two weeks denying this was a terrorist attack.
Yes, and then if Romney mentions it during the next debate debate, Zippy will get the moderator to run interference for him.
Yes, rabble rousers seem to always get a pass.
No, not Middle Eastern, South Asian (or Asian as the Brits would call it), Bengladeshi to be more precise. A devotee of the cult of Mohammed, but not from the Middle East.
(Interesting choice of target, though, might have been trying for a Reichstag fire on behalf of Obama while killing kuffar and attacking the U.S. economy at the same time — you can bet if he’d found fellow jihadis instead of the FBI as a source for explosives and had succeeded, Obama would have tried to lay the blame on the Tea Party or other American opponents of fiat currency and used it as an excuse for an attack on our constitutionally protected natural rights.)
While I firmly believe the the top levels of the FBI and other security agencies have been politisized, I also believe the rank and file care about our and their family's safety. They have stopped numerous attacks and I give them credit due. This was a win for the FBI and our Country. Kudos to them.
How did the feds allow him to enter the country? Was he "imported" by BO for this October surprise.
Will dear leader call it the "t" word?
I disagree. By setting up the suspect and capturing him, they may get more intel into possible affiliations. It's all a cat and mouse game, and some times you just don't want to play your ace - to mix metaphors. Thanks to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for stopping something that could have seriously screwed with our economy. And no, I'm not a fan of the FedRes.
The media first identified him as ME. Still a jihadist and follower of Is-lam.
What was Holder doing, sleeping at the switch? Why wasn’t the man given real explosives in order to see what he would do with them?
It was an entrapped middle eastern man upset about a video
I thought obama won the debate and he runs out and pulls this crap?
Yes Bush had 91% approval during 9/11 attacks. So of course Muslims and Obama wishing for terrorist attack or will start war in the Middle East just to win. They ‘ll use the old tired line that you can’t criticize the president at a time of war blah blah blah
Absolutely. They always overlook the obvious Amish connection.
