When British diplomats abandoned their offices in Benghazi over the summer after the British ambassadors motorcade was attacked with rocket-propelled grenades, their security detail left its weapons and vehicles in the custody of the U.S. consulate in that eastern Libyan city.
Now that cache of weapons is missing amid signs that the Islamist militants suspected in the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. consulate and a nearby annex remain active, despite Libyan government demands that they disband.
The June 11 attack on British Ambassador Sir Dominic Asquith as he drove through Benghazi is among a list of 230 security incidents, 48 in Benghazi alone, that U.S. officials compiled to show how dangerous Libya had become. Two of Asquiths security guards were wounded in the attack. In contrast to the Americans, who remained in Benghazi, the British determined that the city was too dangerous and closed their offices.

Now, now, such a bunch of malarkey over another non-event.
Plausible explanation.
So why did Petraeus blame the video.
Is he part of of the plan?
There are a few good stories at the site.

Denmark Criticises Last Year’s NATO’s Libya Mission
13/10/2012 13:25:00
NATO’s lack of military intelligence hampered Denmark’s bombing campaign in Libya in 2011, according to a confidential report.
The problems arose after the Air Force was moved from American to NATO leadership on March 31 last year. Before the switchover, Denmark’s missions were guided by the US, which had superior military intelligence.

IMF Predicts Economic Growth for North Africa
10/10/2012 09:34:00
The International Monetary Fund, IMF, said on Tuesday, that due mainly to a strong rebound of activity in Libya, the Middle East and North Africas oil exporting countries will see economic growth accelerate in 2012 to 6.6 percent.
The forecast marked a rare upgrade in the IMFs semi-annual World Economic outlook report after it downgraded its expectations for global growth, Reuters has reported.
The IMF had forecast growth of 4.8 percent across the oil producing economies of the Middle East and Africa in its previous semi-annual review in April. Growth in 2011 was 3.9 percent.

Slow Economy and Higher Output Set to Ease Oil Prices
13/10/2012 13:14:00
The world could see a gradual easing of oil prices over the next five years due to sluggish economic growth and rising energy efficiency and as production increases steeply in Iraq and North America, the West’s energy watchdog said on Friday.
The International Energy Agency, IEA,which advises industrialised nations on energy policy, cut its global oil demand growth projection for 2011-2016 by 500,000 barrels per day (bpd) compared to its previous report in December 2011, Reuters has reported.
As a result, the pressure on OPEC to produce more oil will ease dramatically and the cartel will have to cut production to no more than 31 million bpd until 2017 to balance global demand. It has been producing between 31 and 32 million bpd this year.
“When Romney is president and planes start falling from the sky, then you will hear about it.”
I pray to our Lord that He will intercede to let this information be revealed to the masses BEFORE that happens!
A lot of the things that are problems NOW but not being covered by the jackals in the MSM are being held by them for the purpose you state.
Can someone can explain to me seriously why there are that many weapons at our and Britains consulate or embassy? Is this normal? If not, what’s going on?
You know, Obama is what he is. If there’s any more big disasters, make sure to thank your relatives and neighbors who voted for him. Then, it will be, “oh, this is serious and we don’t have time for partisan politics now.”
We’ll, it’s your guy dug this hole.
Where’s the upside?
In the end the Muslim brotherhood will have the power in Libya along with elements of Al Qaeda. This means we will have murderous thugs in power that do wish us harm. This mess is a direct and 100% attributable to Obama and the State Department
This mess was planned, both the foreign policy mess and the economic mess.
I have no doubt whatsoever this mess is being created to leave it to a republican to try and clean up, and when they can't there will be a movement to bring “The Clintons” back in to clean up the mess.
There will be calls for Hillary and her “Third Way” since Obama’s socialism and Romney's capitalism both failed.
The 10-20K MANPADS were in Libya’s arsenal and when Gaddafi fell, the rebels got into them and they ‘disappeared’. Doherty was trying to track down some of these weapons. The consulate/embassy, etc. has equipment/weapons for keeping the facilities secure. When the British pulled out after the assassination attempt on their Ambassador, they had a MOU (memorandum of understanding) with our embassy to keep their vehicles, equipment until they returned & it was being stored at the consulate which had the room. It is my understanding that certain British personnel had been back for short visits, pulled their equipment while they were there, then brought it back (I think I heard this in the hearing). Now, after the terror attack, of course the terrorists took any equipment/weapons that would be useful to them.
Benghazi Burns and Petraeus Goes to Princeton?
Previous to reading this article, I had trust in Petraeus - no more.
Thank you and if you wuld indulge me to help my understanding becuz I’m only now just beginning to try and get a basic understanding of the Middle East, could you answer where did those weapons in Libyas arsenal originate from? TIA
this article makes it clear that prezO didn’t give a damn about the lives of his Ambassador Stevens or the other Americans in Libya!
It almost looks like he expected maybe even wanted and planned for them to die.
Much appreciated. I shall study this. Thanx again for the leg up.
I fear you are correct. God help us.
