Someone posted this in a thread and has some great (and accurate) assessment of the various polls.

Looking good!

Posting it as VANITY as it doesn't specifically reference a specific story.

That was me, your welcome. I was hoping someone would put this in a vanity. I didn’t want to do it because I wasn’t sure if it was an approved site.

Good post!

I’ve checked this site almost daily lately. I like the approach of using the most recent Rasmussen D/R/I model.

That site is a very clever idea, but I wish they explained the methodology better.

There is a link to an example of unskewing a poll, but it is not clear if that is the same methodology used for all the results. Example: http://www.examiner.com/article/is-the-latest-washington-post-abc-poll-skewed-for-obama

I agree with the Peasant (the one in need of a bath)...good idea, but site needs a bit more explanation right up front, without making the user go fishing in the links to the left.

How about putting a label at top saying something like:

Poll Results corrected for current party affiliations

example of methodology

...you could have the "example of methodology" be a link to the example...I think this will be much clearer, and reduce bounces.

And .. the dems are using the 2008 models - and that’s why they are showing Obama ahead all the time.

Recently, the dem overloading was 13-14% so far.

During the 2004 election, they used 16-18% - that’s how desperate they were to unseat Bush.

And .. another good thing is that the repubs are much more excited to get to the polls this year than they were in 2008, which is why the dems are using those models. If I didn’t know better, I’d say it was a conspiracy to purposly misinform the public.

Geeeeee ... we sure have seen a lot of “misinforming” going on lately.

There is something I do not understand. If the MSM wants people to go to the polls and support “their” candidate wouldn't it be better to imply in the polls he is close or loosing?

By implying to Conservatives their candidate is loosing by a small number and implying to Liberals that this is an easy walk for Obama won't that inspire Conservatives to get out and vote and Liberals to just say...well Obama is going to win so why go vote?
