Attorney General Eric Holder said that Justice Department officials had opened a criminal investigation into the deaths of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other diplomats killed during an attack on the American mission in Benghazi. It was not immediately clear whether authorities were focusing on the California filmmaker as part of that probe.
A federal law enforcement official said Thursday that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, was the man behind "Innocence of Muslims," a film denigrating Islam and the Prophet Muhammad that sparked protests earlier in the week in Egypt and Libya and now in Yemen. U.S. authorities are investigating whether the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans in Libya came during a terrorist attack.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation, said Nakoula was connected to the persona of Sam Bacile, a figure who initially claimed to be the writer and director of the film. But Bacile quickly turned out to a false identity and the Associated Press traced a cellphone number used by Bacile to a southern California house where Nakoula was found.

Because the Barack Hussein Obama regime is hoping that once they publicly identify the person who made the so-called movie, then muslims in the US will track the guy down and kill him. The Regime hopes that this will then assuage the tender, hurt feelings of all of all of those Arab/Muslim savages in Egypt and Libya and thus quiet the situation down.
Anybody but the Hussein Obama Regime to take the blame will do. The Regime will willfully endanger or cause the murder of anyone in order to cover up it's foreign policy ineptitude or its collusion in aiding the worldwide expansion of repressive totalitarian Islam.
Come and arrest me or behead me.

Or tie him up into the investigation and force him to be silent and not go on Fox to tell his story. What I’d like to know is who “marketed “ this film in Egypt. If it’s so offensive to Islam it shouldn’t have been shown in the first place. Right? Find out who it was and then we’ll start to find the truth. I suspect it has little to do with the film or Copts.
I’m not sure if he was raped, the Washington Yimes reported on it last night tho, they were monitoring news in Libya, and a newscast and paper reported it.
It has happened to other victims of the Islamists, even Lawrence of Arabia.
I’m not so sure that we will make it from Nov 6 to Jan 20 without Odummer making another decision and declaring martial law or something not allowing the change to take place.. Seems like everything is leading up and coming together nicely for this to take place....

Doubtful...since the movie does not tell anyone to riot, rape, and murder.
More likely this is a threat and intimidation by the US Gov...unseemly and unconstitutional.

I agree about the concern .. I have been more than concerned about it even before Obama took office.
Talked to my sister yesterday, and she told me her boyfriend has just bought a new rifle and he’s attending classes on using the weapon .. and he already owns several other types of weapons. He told her he was concerned about what was going on and he wanted to be proficient in using his weapons.
What’s interesting is that for a couple of years I have been thinking about getting a weapon .. and after talking to my sister, I’m even more convinced I should do that.
There is a local place near me who has a great reputation for good weapons, plus they also have a shooting range. Think I’ll give them a call and see what such a thing would cost: weapon + training.
