Did the State Department ban Marines from carrying ammo at the U.S. embassy in Cairo? That's what some are reporting, as well as claiming our Ambassador to Egypt, Anne Patterson, had forbidden it.
U.S. Marines defending the American embassy in Egypt were not permitted by the State Department to carry live ammunition, limiting their ability to respond to attacks like those this week on the U.S. consulate in Cairo.
Ambassador to Egypt Anne Patterson “did not permit US Marine guards to carry live ammunition,” according to multiple reports on U.S. Marine Corps blog spotted by Nightwatch. “She neutralized any US military capability that was dedicated to preserve her life and protect the US Embassy.”
At least Marines were present at the embassy in Cairo; despite initial reports, Marines weren't present at our Libyan consulate and Libyan security hired to protect out ambassador gave him up to protesters.
How many other of our embassies lack adequate protection?

The IRS : Plenty of Ammo
The DHS : Plenty of Ammo
The SSA : Plenty of Ammo
In other words, against your own citizens, you’re prepared to use deadly force. Against rampaging Islamic savages, you’re not.
The type of idiots you’re describing should understand that a gun that isn’t loaded is nothing more than a fancy club.
The guards should have disobeyed such ignorant orders and kept a cache of loaded mags available at all times.
Never listen to people who show such signs of mental instability. Their foolishness not only brings about their own deaths, but the deaths of people who are told to protect them at all costs. Any official who orders our military to disarm should be packed up and shipped home. They don’t have the mental capacity to hold such a duty.

The ambassador was HIGHLY protected. She was (and is) safely in DC at the time. And will likely stay there until things blow over.
I would like to see Congress pass a law requiring all active duty military to be armed with fully loaded weapons and 4 spare magazines at all times, except when off duty or in training using training rounds.
The State(less) Department has done more to ruin our relationships around the globe than any other government organization. They have way too much authority to control not only our negotiating positions with other countries, but with regards to commerce and activities within our borders, much as when they held a negative position on the Keystone Pipeline project. Who died or retired and left them in charge?
The seedy inside story of the Obama regime inner conspiracies will likely be a long time coming, I think.
This use of snow cones as ammunition that this unserious regime uses regularly has permeated our foreign policy from our own southern border to the Middle East.
Our unarmed servicemen are now suppose to be unarmed diplomats and pizza delivery types.

Further Marine spokesman at Pentagon Lt Col Chris Hughes says these reports are NOT true. This is on the record:
“The Ambassador and RSO have been completely and appropriately engaged with the security situation. No restrictions on weapons or weapons status have been imposed. This information comes from the Det Commander at AMEMB Cairo.”

This SH*T has to stop. If you are going to disarm our military then BRING THEM HOME. You are guarding US SOIL and PERSONEL and you are fighting with SPIT WADS?? Where the hell is the outrage?

I have been told by men who served in Korea and elsewhere during the Cold War that soldiers on guard duty had unloaded weapons and typically the officer in charge had only 3 rounds for his pistol.
How else would the Beirut bombing have succeeded?
The people in charge are terrified weapons in the hands of the lower classes might be turned against their “betters” ;the elites fear their own fellow citizens more than sworn enemies.
Don’t hold your breath when many are like my own sister and bil who have never been outside of this country can say things like “Oh, they’re just people like us.” Need I say that both are democrats?
