Republican Rep. Todd Akin decision to continue his campaign against Democratic incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill wasnt well received by many on the right, and perhaps one of the most exasperated reactions came from conservative talker Mark Levin.
Levin, the author of Ameritopia: The Unmaking of America, wanted his listeners to realize that there was more at stake to the race than just Todd Akin.
Now I want you to step back, which is hard to do with these emotional things step back, Levin said. In any other walk of life, if you can excuse something that is really stupid and insensitive youll go ahead and do it. But if the future of your business is at stake, if the future of a military operation is at stake, if the future of your country is potentially at stake you dont take the risk. You just dont because the country is too important. Your children and grandchildren are too important.

Cest La Vie! There is nothing, absolutely nothing new under the sun and God hates child sacrifice and immorality. So vote for romney and expect the consequences because it is what America wants, prosperity at the cost of innocent lives and depravity.People are showing their true colors. But, by Todd sticking with the race, it gives anti-Akins the opportunity to reverse and get back on support for him. I hope they do.
“The absolute minimum job requirement for a politician is winning an election.”
Huh? A pol must know the outcome of an election before the election? Thanks, Plato.
Akin’s biggest mistake was not realizing that the republican party is full of a bunch of back stabbing, bed wetting, hand wringing, nancy boy, hypocrites. Now he knows. If he wins he should make them come crawling back to him on hands and knees. They won’t mind, their use to being on their hands and knees.
I agree...when the head of the party consist of unprincipled coward such as Romney and Co. there will be no one to cover the backsides of any lesser officeholder. You can bet that the RINOs will blame any losses on the Conservative Candidates!
No, but they must have a realistic chance to win. Akin no longer has that, therefore he needs to go. Simple as that. There is no use in sticking with a candidate who can't get elected when there is still avenues to replace him. There are plenty of other quality, pro-life candidates that can run instead of Akin and give us a realistic chance of taking this senate seat.
Very well said! I could’nt say it any better than your post.

“The Unknown Comic”
Everyone needs to wake up......this is all smoke & mirrors! Start talking about Sen. Claire McCaskill (D) record! Bring the progressive/leftist actions to the top of the stack. Pro choice/pro-life/medicare/SS all detract from the the real issues that our country is going down the drain (financially).
Just today on the news (radio) the announcer stated that folks are (because of a poll) are saying the economy is improving. WHERE? Polls are so misguided and the questions asked are very misleading resulting in the DESIRED response, or they lie about the actual results for political effect.
Toricelli in New Jersey.
Anthony Weiner, Brooklyn.
I agree with you on every count. That willing Democrat tool seemed obvious to me as well.
If your not from Missouri just STFU.
I sincerely hope a majority of voters in Missouri feel the same way. If not, we've lost a critical Senate seat. Since he needed democrat crossover voters and democrat cash to get to this point, and since his poll numbers are sinking and his party financing is gone, it will be an uphill battle. His original comment was bad enough, but his subsequent behavior was even more off-the-wall. Pristine conservative voting record aside, he comes off as a really strange bird.
Longbow's analogy is apt. "Keeping Akin around for this Senate race would be like continuing to start a QB with a broken leg."
He is conservative through and through. Missourians will decide, not the drive-by media. Why would an incoherent comment change anyone’s mind to not vote for Akin and for the hated McCaskill who is joined at the hip with the weakest, worst President since before Carter?
Oh, okay, then if someone who shares most of our views says something terrible, we’re supposed to overlook it. Got it.
Please spare me the GOPe conspiracy talk.
This bonehead opened his own mouth and inserted both feet.
President Ronald Reagan famously said “I will vote for the most conservative candidate who can win”. I admire him more with each passing day on his wisdom. Most of all, he was a winner by attracting some democrat voters.
With no money, and MSM pounding him 24-7 and all MO republican leaders against him, Todd Akin has less chance of winning in November than I have of beating Tiger Woods in a golf match.
A loser in election HAS ZERO POWER. They can’t save a single baby being aborted by passing laws. They can’t cut a single dime out of government giveaways. They can’t prevent Obamacare becoming permanent. They can’t vote for a supreme court justice.
It does not matter how pure is their heart for conservative principles. Just ask Sharon Angle, Joe Miller, Hoffman, Christine O’Donell, Buck in CO, etc.
Wrong states.
Since a single US Senator can block any legislation, all Senate races are national to begin with. Akin has expanded his reach beyond just the Senate and has managed to infect every race. So...go tell Akin to STFU and resign his campaign.
