Chick-fil-A announced Thursday morning that supporters who flocked to the restaurant for "Appreciation Day" propelled the company to a "record-setting day."
The statement confirmed anecdotal claims that the long lines seen at Chick-fil-A's across the country Wednesday fueled unprecedented sales. The turnout came after CEO Dan Cathy came under fire in some circles for his opposition to same-sex marriage.
"We are very grateful and humbled by the incredible turnout of loyal Chick-fil-A customers on August 1 at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country. We congratulate local Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators and their team members for striving to serve each and every customer with genuine hospitality," the company said in a statement. "While we don't release exact sales numbers, we can confirm reports that it was a record-setting day."

I contacted the local police to have a presence at Chick Fil-A restaurants, and they said they were already aware of this, and I guess preparing for this...
I doubt in this part of the United States that the GLADD folks will get much support, though they be a problem in New Orleans, which has had drag queens as long I can remember.
The Los Angeles Times has an article that basically says the GLADD folks will look bullies tomorrow (Friday, August 3).
The protest by GLADD is supposed to occur every Friday.
The difference between liberals and conservatives -
Conservative Protest: Polite. Clean. Shows support. Improves the economy. Usually gets little media coverage. Numbers are minimized by the media. Media looks for trouble and tries to make anything sound racist or negative. Gets media spin as a bad thing.
Liberal Protest: Nasty. Dirty. Violent. Seeks to do harm. Destroys the economy. Often results in vandalism. Police called out. Gets media spin as a positive thing.
Think about any liberal protest you can recall. Compare that to the Tea Party marches or the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day..
Which group would you like to have as neighbors? Which represents the America you’d like to live in?
Oh, NO...
...you DIDN'T...

Dang!!! Even Hollywood residents go in on the action! Excellent! Thanks for the pics.
LOL! Excellent! :)
Some history and historical pictures at the source link of this FR thread.
**Cathy should give the nuggets free of charge to the pervs and do it with a huge smile.
Only if he serves the nuggets with a special sauce!**
And a prayer from Ephesians or 1 Corrinthians.
I would think it would be awesome if Chick-Fil-A gave the protesters a free sandwich with a message saying, we aren’t bigots we just believe in the words of Christ. Watch the liberals brains explode.
I went there to support the 1st amendment, freedom of speech and religion. I think I waited in line at the drive through for about 30 minutes.
Here in Va Beach area, Chick Fil A almost always has long lines though.
Big crowds yesterday in East Tennessee. I parked at a nearby Wal-Mart and walked over. In spite of the huge crowds, I was in and out in about 20 minutes.
I got a text from my daughter in south Alabama. She was in line in her car. After 45 minutes in line, she was still more than a quarter of a mile from the building.
It was a great day.
Need to find one with a “No Left Turn” sign in the frame. That’d be nice.
Lol :)
I was thinking of putting an extra sign on there saying, “exit only”.. but it wouldn’t match up with the “right turn only”...
Your idea is MUCH better! :D
I am hitting the sack, should have been in bed 6 hours ago.. but was having too much fun on FR; will find a good sign to add tomorrow :~)
Thank you my FRiend ;^)
If I HAD to lower myself, I’d say the 55, hands down. But being a life-long Ford guy, I have the Boss 429 Mustang to lust over. And sadly for you Chevy geeks, The General had nothing to compare. Sad really.
I guess I could slum it with a Boss 302 or the sleeper of them all, The Boss 351... ;)
And of course, the face Of Faux News calls it Intolerance Day.

Thank you for posting.
He-heh. I wouldn’t say I’m among the “Chevy geeks,” but, in this the 21st Century, who in their right mind would complain about owning a 50’s vintage Chevy? Just about anything from that era is drool fodder at any local gathering of vintage iron.
