AURORA, Colo. James Holmes, the accused gunman in last Friday's midnight movie massacre in Colorado, mailed a notebook "full of details about how he was going to kill people" to a University of Colorado psychiatrist before the attack, but the parcel sat unopened in a mailroom for as long as a week before its discovery Monday, a law enforcement source told FoxNews.com.

Guns don’t kill people, slow union postal mailrooms do.

Could have been worse, if it went to the feds it might have been a year.

This doesn’t make sense to me. He forewarned someone. He would have been detained
To: ColdOne
Good thing he did not mail it to Eric Holder. It would never have been “found”.

he switched to a .40 Glock pistol and a .223 Smith & Wesson M&P semi-automatic with a high-capacity drum clip OMG where to begin? A Smith and Wesson M&P semi-automatic WHAT? I have visions of a .40 caliber pistol with a drum magazine.
It's a MAGAZINE! NOT A CLIP! Good God you'd think they'd have a handle on the terminology by now.
And the drum mag controversy is false. All pictures shown in the media from the scene show an AR15 with a standard 20-rd magazine. There were no drum magazines found at the scene.
How does this pass for even marginal journalism? I know 8-year-old bloggers who have a better grasp on gun terminology.

James Holmes, the accused gunmanGolly, they're still not sure if he did it?
Doncha' just love the way these legalisms strangle us everyday. Guess they're still not sure if he had the weapon, nor if he was the one who actually used it.
Whom else do they have as a suspect?

Why would a harmless package be considered suspicious ??? That makes no sense. Betting this Prof knows a lot more than WE will ever know. Did this Professor get a phone call from Holmes? Was he “treating” “experimenting” with Holmes?? Is there “Hypnotism” involved?? Psycotic drugs?

I believe the drum magazine was still in the theater. At least that's what I read. He then tried the smaller magazine (the one you see in the pictures of the scene near his car) but couldn't use it b/c the drum magazine had caused the gun to jam.

It's summer session, maybe. It could be that most professors and other staff are out for the summer break.

Awesome but completely unwieldy.
I’m behind the corporate firewall today, can anyone tell me if there’s even an AR-variant made by S&W under the M&P product name? I highly doubt it, leading me to believe that the person from whom Fox got their information was a completely ignorant moron either from the back office staff of the police department or some drunk homeless guy who lived in the dumpster behind the theater.

You know I was mentioning that to the wife last knight, the photo with the AR laying out side the exit door showed a standard mag.
I can't find that pic anywhere , do you have a link???

Yeah. A cynical person might say something like "Gee! I wonder if the shrink re-wrapped the package after the fact to cover up his prior knowledge of the danger."
I don't know who that cynical person might be, mind you.
