The Situation created by John Roberts has an analogy in Shakespeare”s “Hamlet”

There's letters seal'd: and my two schoolfellows, Whom I will trust as I will adders fang'd, They bear the mandate; they must sweep my way And marshal me to knavery. Let it work; For 'tis the sport to have the enginer Hoist with his own petar; and 't shall go hard But I will delve one yard below their mines And blow them at the moon: O, 'tis most sweet, When in one line two crafts directly meet.

Given Obama’s recent“win,” Justice Roberts has passed the torch to We the People to toss Obama in the election while voting in a Republican Senate and House … thereby alllowing a Republican Congress and President to eliminate Obamacare, and essentially hoist Obama on his own petard.

I'm not damning Roberts. If he would have addressed the the issue's constitutionality the Democrats would have changed it to a tax - which they said it was at the very beginning.

Your timing is screwed up.

The Donkees passed it, saying it wasn't a tax (although they did use special reconciliation rules to get it through the Senate).

Then the Donkees lost the House, precluding their ability to pass modifications to their liking. IOW, they can't change it to or from a tax because they no longer have the votes, LOL!

Then the KCOTUS decided it was constitutional, but only because the individual mandate, which was absolutely not a tax according to Zero, could be taken as tax (but really because John Roberts didn't want to be exiled from his social circles for being the cwazy right winger who politicized the Court — oh! the horror!). IOW, you should be damning Roberts!

Now, the only option is to elect Mittens, together with a House and Senate which will make sure he etches the right sketch in 2013 (he's good at etching, just not at picking the right sketch).

During WW2 the people of Malta were awarded the George Cross by the UK for their heroism and courage during the sustained bombing of their island nation.

I believe it was the only time such an award was given.

I agree with you 100% that government can tax anything, as allowed by Benedict Roberts’s ruling.

My issue is that right now the GOP holds the senate so government is not all Democrat right now.

The only reason Obamacare originally passed was because the Democrats had majorities in the House, Senate, and White House. The Dems did not get a single solitary GOP vote for Obamacare in either house. The Democrats do not have majorities in all 3 houses now, so they cannot just place a tax on anything without at least some of the Republicans voting with them.

I never said the tax would lose based on the Constitution. You are right in that now that Roberts has made taxes unlimited in scope and range, the government can tax anything they want, but it still has to pass both houses of Congress and be signed by the President. If one of those 3 institutions refuses, then there is no tax.

Yes and Almost—No period after U or S though.

“Justice Roberts has passed the torch to We the People to toss Obama in the election while voting in a Republican Senate and House “

I didn’t need john roberts UNLAWFUL, incomprehensible, convoluted decision to do that...nor does any patriotic conservative American. We’re already white hot and have been for some time. Trading off this country’s riches for a “passing of the torch” is hardly a silver lining. The man is ANOTHER disgusting example of EVERYTHING that is wrong with this country. He should resign in disgrace. Today. Now.

Even if this does result in a short term political gain, it is a huge long term loss for the freedom of our country. If a punitive fine can be levied on inaction on the basis of taxing powers, the Feds have the power to regulate your everyday activities, not just business/economic activities. Dumping the expansive interpretation of the Commerce Claus for this seems like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Your comment tha “Roberts should resign in disgrace TODAY! NOW!” isn’t the smartest comment in town!

If Roberts did that, Obama Osama HUSSIEN would get his most fervent wish handed to him on a silver platter!

YEP! One more America Hating, Communist Traitor and Lying Murderer appointed to SCOTUS giving them the Magic Perfect Non Wavering FIVE!

You don't seem to get Shakespeare's meaning in .... But I will delve one yard below their mines And blow them at the moon:

Roberts decisive vote has laid a mine to solve the real problem. That problem being lockstep anti-American control inside the US Senate and White House: a lockstep problem that is best solved in an election.

Roberts has lit the fuse on a mine that can hang Obama and Obamanites on their own petard ... in November.

I had a chance to talk with my parish priest. They have a income tax but do NOT pay property taxes.
