The move puts the pressure on Rush Limbaugh... What? Yea, kind of like a 12 year old little league pitcher put pressure on the Yankee's number one starter.

The move puts the pressure on Rush Limbaugh, whose advertisers abandoned him earlier this year Not! Business Insider has become almost as big a liar as the NY Times.

Good for Glenn. Unlike the radio show, his GBTV is superb.

600+ to 400+ stations
$200,000,000 to 20,000,000 / year
To top it all off, Rush’s advertisers, save a stupid few, did not dump him. All in all, I would place my bet on Rush.

Well, Limbaugh not have advertisers abandon him, net he gained, those that left in a sissy fit begged to come back and EIB said no.
Good for Beck, I just do not see why, he is certifiable, but what ever draws revenue.

So Mr. Limbaugh, who makes twice as much in a year as Mr. Beck does in half a decade should somehow be worried? I was never very good at math, but c’mon!!

How does Beck’s $20 mil a year put pressure on Limbaugh’s $200 mil per year?

Limbaugh's contract is worth $200 million per year. Beck's is worth $100 million over five years. Let's do some of that high level math called division.
Limbaugh = $200 million per year.
Beck = $100 million / 5 years = $20 million per year.
A nice little chunk of change, but not a lot of pressure on Rush. Also, many of these contracts are for the whole show and not for just the main host, so it pays for the studio, call screener, sidekicks, replacement hosts (lots and lots of those for Rush lately) and anything else it takes to run a show.

Limbaugh's contract is worth $200 million per year. Beck's is worth $100 million over five years. According to the article, Limbaugh makes 10 times more than Beck.
$200 million per year v. $20 million per year.
Limbaugh's 10X greater.

As much as I like Glen,I don’t think Rush will have much of a problem.Rush is the head of the spear in talk radio.Everyone else just follows behind.

Doesn't matter to me........I rarely can listen to Beck, more than a few minutes.
They joke around like Jr. High kids, tease that they are going to "tell us something important"...but not now...maybe next week.
And he "weeps" on air.
That's the trifecta for me........

This is so silly.
It’s just to get a dig in to Rush.
There is no pressure on Rush at all. Beck likes mornings. He has always been on then. If anything, it boosts the stations, like the one in Cleveland that run Glenn then Rush.
