US President Barack Obama described the lonely decision he made to mount a Navy SEAL raid to kill Osama bin Laden and called the daring escapade the "most important single day" of his tenure.

Too bad Obozo isn't really the one who issued the go-ahead for the mission.

Let’s declare a national holiday to celebrate Obama’s greatness...

It’s surreal. You expect this sort of behavior from two-bit third-world dictators, but not from an American President! Disgusting is a word that comes to mind. Ever been to a party where you are embarrassed for somebody who is too ignorant to be embarrassed for themselves?

My gawd, the man must think the decision was comparable to the go ahead for D day or the dropping of the bomb in Japan.

The guy is delusional, the decision was a no brainer any red blooded American 10 year old could have made.

I disagree. His most important day will be when he resigns, when he is arrested or when he is voted out.

... called the daring escapade the "most important single day" of his tenure.

Sadly, Brian Williams doesn't have the b@lls to ask Obama, "Mr. President, if it was such an "important single day", why were you playing golf?!

US President Barack Obama described the lonely decision

Gee. The poor lonely man, agonizing all by himself over the decision, deciding against all advice to approve the decision to go after Bin Laden, in spite of the overwhelming public pressure to let him live.

What a brave soul Obama must be.

So why was he out playing golf until dragged kicking and screaming by Leon Panetta into making a decision?

A decision that he promised would backfire on Panetta and McRaven if the mission failed because he would refuse responsibility in such a case.

the "most important single day" of his tenure.

This is probably more or less true. It was, after all, the day he let someone who knew what they were doing run the show.

As I said on another thread regarding our Dear Leader’s multiple victory laps, millions of Americans will pause and be reminded that Osama Bin Laden is dead. Then those same millions of Americans will give a deep sigh and begin their long and painful search for a job. Any job.

When he was killed, Bin Laden was no longer any threat to the United States. the photos show what appears to be a grumpy old man in a run-down nursing home, fumbling with his remote. There was little “gutsy” about the “call”. It was already decided by the head of SOCOM and Obama wisely didn’t stand in the way - like Clinton did repeatedly back when Bin Laden was an actual threat to America. At the time of his death, Bin Laden had been cut off by Zawahiri, had no leadership or planning role in attacks, and did not even receive regular updates on such plans. This was a symbolic act only, far less significant than the capture and subsequent execution of Saddam Hussein.
