George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.
Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.
The new information is the most complete version yet of what Zimmerman claims happened on the night of Feb. 26 when he shot and killed the teenager.
In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman's description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.
The initial police report noted that Zimmerman was bleeding from the back of the head and nose, and after medical attention it was decided that he was in good enough condition to travel in a police cruiser to the Sanford, Fla., police station for questioning. He was not arrested.

I didn’t say it was a bad shoot. I was just pointing out that there is zero chance of getting a good jury IF they ever did take this thing to trial.

Police officer first to arrive on the scene states in his report that he took the gun in its holster from Zimmerman’s waist. (Closeness allowed him to observe wet, grassy back)
In a later news conference it was reported that the cartridge had NOT been expelled from it’s chamber. Freepers said some thing would have blocked this.
Police have gun and Zimmerman’s clothes.
It was reported that they struggled over the gun.
Is it possible to shot a gun without aiming and shooting it?

Has the Black Panther group put out a ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’ poster yet with the child’s picture on it? The lynch mob probably thinks the kid’s earned a death sentence. They’re lookin’ for a tree...
While the facts of this case are interesting and important they are largely irrelevant. The real value of the entire press treatment of the “Trayvon” death is political. The media, Sharpton, Jackson, Congressional Black Caucus use of the shooting is for the distinct purpose of “energizing” the black base to re-elect “The Divine One.” The real problem for the left is the length of time between now and November 2012. THe left must keep this alive for all these months. The left attempt has created “The Hoodie,” “the humble “Skittles” as symbols to lash black sensibility. However, not withstanding the emotional impact of these symbols interest will flag. To keep this shooting a thing of value the process must be extended. Zimmerman’s arrest must be delayed, the trial process must be delayed until October and November.

Minors testify in court all the time but mostly to a ‘closed’ court room.
If they couldn’t testify, then a minor, charged with a crime, couldn’t testify in his/her own defense.

Obviously the 13-year-old is racist (even if black), Spike Lee will post his address on Twitter, and the Panthers will put a bounty on the child.

His/Her race is irrelevant. Why even bring it up?
Her testimony is void as it would be hearsay. If the son was one of the people to call in his statement is a matter of record and any change or attempt to change from original could lead to more legal problems. (tampering with witness or perjury come to mind)
this is how this story will end....the SCM will slowly start releasing FACTS and the story will just slither away..
