George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.
Zimmerman had claimed he had called police about Martin, whom he found suspicious, then went back to his car when Martin attacked him, punching him.
The new information is the most complete version yet of what Zimmerman claims happened on the night of Feb. 26 when he shot and killed the teenager.
In addition, an eyewitness, 13-year-old Austin Brown, told police he saw a man fitting Zimmerman's description lying on the grass moaning and crying for help just seconds before he heard the gunshot that killed Martin.
The initial police report noted that Zimmerman was bleeding from the back of the head and nose, and after medical attention it was decided that he was in good enough condition to travel in a police cruiser to the Sanford, Fla., police station for questioning. He was not arrested.

ok lets say it was a bad shoot, how would you find an impartial jury at this point?
Now this kid will be “taken care of” Thanks liberal press !
Despicable.
If they did that to my kid the reporter who uttered his name would get a visit from me.
How disgusting. I hope ABC gets put out of business and all assets transferred to this kids family because of this.
I would be interested to know what racial group Austin Brown belongs to. In any case, it is a DISASTER for ABC to release his name. He is a minor child, and now his life won’t be worth living and he’ll have to be in hiding, possibly for years. Madness! If I were in the position of Austin’s parents I’d sue the hindquarters off of ABC.
It is just despicable that they would name this 13 year old. His parents should lawyer up, NOW!
Austin Brown had better not be white. If so, he’s screwed.
Austin Brown had better not be black. If so, he’s screwed.
Austin Brown had better not be Hispanic. If so, he’s screwed.
Austin Brown had better not be.......
There’s nothing in this story to indicate it was a bad shoot.
In fact there’s nothing in this story except the name of a 13 year old and an eyewitness account that Zimmerman was in fact bleeding and laying in the grass before a gunshot was heard, which contradicts ABC News propaganda and a handful of idiot freepers around here.
ABC reporter that did this story is SENI TIENABESO? Can you guess his race?

“In fact theres nothing in this story except the name of a 13 year old and an eyewitness account that Zimmerman was in fact bleeding and laying in the grass before a gunshot was heard”
And that’s why his name was released. Anyone that is on the “wrong side” in the eyes of the lamestream media is entitled to no protection.
Someone will get to that 13 year old kid....the old “don’t snitch” routine. The kid will either vanish (as in be hidden) or he’ll change his story 180 degrees.
I hope that network ends up having to pay the family ALOT of money. Endangering a 13year olds life to further their own lies....Is there no point so low a liberal won’t sink?
This is absolutely putting a child's life in danger.
FUABC
Supposedly, ABC was granted consent from the mother of this child..she was present during the interview & also contributed to the story.
Knowing how highly charged this is, I don’t know anyone in their right mind that would consent to releasing their childs’ name to this story..maybe $$$?
A minor can't testify in court anyway, can he? Which would mean the girl-friend's testimony would be worthless as well. (Which is probably is anyway.) I think you have to be 18 or older to take an oathand to be prosecuted for lying if they catch you in a lie.
I'd say publicizing the name is an effort to punish a witnessfor heresy. Just like Spike Lee publicizing the old couple's address when he thought it was Zimmerman's.
