So when the Obama camp announced via Twitter yesterday that it was putting its 2012 hoodies on sale, it got some thinking: Is the President trying to capitalize off the death of Martin?
A lot has been made about the hoodie lately. Not only has Geraldo partially blamed it for the death of Trayvon Martin, but it’s also become a symbol of unity for standing with the slain teen and his family.
So when the Obama camp announced via Twitter yesterday that it was putting its 2012 hoodies on sale, it got some thinking: Is the President trying to capitalize off the death of Martin?
On Monday, the Obama2012 Twitter account sent out this message:
They have been selling hoodies for some time. Drudge will likely raise cash for Obama by having this on his front page.
Right ... and prior to that, it was associated with gang wear. So doesn't that make it the perfect symbol for this administration?
No doubt the Twitter is a grab at cash, but if you go to Cafe Press, you will see hoodies offered for all candidates. Even an “I (heart) Michelle Obama” !
Actually I don’t have any issues with this. They actually call them by their correct name and they’re being marketed specifically to Obama voters (self advertizing idiots)
I know I sure as hell don’t plan to stop wearing my hooded sweatshirts because the race baiters think they can adopt a common item of clothing as a social statement.

agree with your point but the timing of this, martin issue, spring already here, makes this spectacularly suspicious...
Silly me. I thought hoodies were a symbol of wanting to keep my ears warm.

I figured I’d start marketing a line of hoodies with the printing I am: Then a list of black on white victims who are not making national reporting.
There's not enough room on the sweatshirt for that.
Hooded sweatshirts are not “gan wear” in and of themselves. Like designer jeans, hair styles and tats, it is all in how they are worn and displayed.
If designer jeans are bought with hip size substituted for waist size had worn below the hips in a manner to immitate inmates weight loss, it is attempting to convey a message to others. Likewise if a hooded sweatshirt is oversized and worn with the hood up and obscuring the head and face when no inclement weather makes that understandable, it is sending a message to all that meet the wearer.
Other grooming and apperal styles lend themselves to the same non-verbal communication.
The person recognizing the message communicating, is not the racist, the communicator is distancing himself from the observer — making a statement. That is the act of seperation or actual threat.
In the 70s, we had a work neighboorhood fellow in his 70s that stood outside in the mornings as the women working on the block parked outside. He was an old italian fellow and looked it. He always greated all the women who all knew him well and respected him. He always wore a wind breaker and had his hand in his pocket holding a .38 caliber revolver. He sent a message to neighbor hood thugs — don’t mess with people on this block.
That message distanced him from all that saw him. It was an overt threat.

Ahhh! Those t-shirts that somehow arrived at the Tucson Deathapalooza event! That, I think, was the first time I realized the level of scumbaggery in this regime. I’ve had to order printed t-shirts and know the turn around time. Something VERY fishy in that story. Of course, the msm didn’t care. Very disheartening.
I think Barry’s handlers are looking to amp up a race war to get attention off the drip, drip, drip of real facts/vetting of the Golden Child. The Tom Ayers/mailman story REALLY must have Axlerod and Valjar in a tizzy.
