Santorum Pronounces Zimmerman Guilty Before Trial, or Charge
Big Government ^ | March 25, 2012 | Joel B. Pollak

Posted on 03/25/2012 6:55:12 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Republican presidential contender Sen. Rick Santorum appeared on CBS' Face the Nation this morning and pronounced George Zimmerman guilty of murder in the first degree.

Admitting that he was "not privy to what’s going on in someone’s mind," Santorum nevertheless said that Zimmerman, who shot and killed teenager Trayvon Martin while participating in a neighborhood watch last month, "has a very sick mind who would pursue someone like this." He added that Zimmerman's motive had been "malicious."

The mental state of the alleged perpetrator, the motive, and the question of whether he pursued the alleged victim, are both critical in determining guilt. Santorum's conclusions are consistent with first-degree murder under Florida law....

“Who are you helping? Newt is finished and unless Santorum stops him Mitt will get his 1144. It’s a two man race now between Rick and Mitt and you are attacking Rick? Getting 74% (almost impossible but not impossible—not like Newt’s nonexistent chances) of the remaining delegates is going to be hard enough without self proclaimed “conservatives” helping Willard by smearing Rick.”

So if you want Mitt you should admit it. . . . . . .

_____________________________________________________

I don’t think anybody except Rick is smearing Rick. So Rick Santorum says a bunch of stupid stuff and we should look the other way? That makes sense. Or, Rick says a bunch of stupid stuff but we act like he didn’t say it so the mainstream media will ignore it? I’m sure that will work. Or better yet, Rick says a bunch of stupid stuff, We pretend it isn’t stupid and that Rick is really smart and says stupid things because of the stress of the election, you know like Obama’s 57 states.

Truth is truth. Santorum for whatever reason is going around with his foot in his mouth. Having your foot in your mouth and then having someone see it does not mean the person seeing you eating your foot is a shill for Romney.

One statement is a slip up. Several is evidence that Rick is not ready for the Oval office. I would rather have Paul than Romney. I would however rather have Romney than Obama. 3rd party equals Obama. If anyone thinks Palin is “wildly” popular with anybody but right wingers they are not getting out enough. I’m glad to be a right winger, I would love to see a President Palin but I am not an idiot or ignorant of the facts. As good as Palin and Newt might be neither are electable. Paul might be but I doubt it. As horrible as it sounds I am afraid I will be made to hope for a president Romney. Nobody did this to Santorum, Santorum did it to us.

Trying to show how ‘progressive’ he is, just like all RINO’s do.

Outside the ‘stand your ground’ law maybe, but not outside ‘the right to defend yourself’ law

Yet another way Santorum and Obama are alike. I think the running tally is in the double-digits, now...

Maybe the Buckeyes, and Trojans can play in an ineligible Bowl this Jan. I bet it would be a big draw!

Yet, George was following Trayvon around in a pickup truck ~ and eventually shot him to death with a firearm.

The police report shows that all Trayon had was a bag of candy, a can of tea and $22.

I gather there’s a crowd here getting their yuck yucks by citing the adventures of a far older Trayvon Martin ~ I’ve seen that stuff before. . . . .

______________________________________________________

You should perhaps do a little reading before you embarrass yourself with your display of ignorance.

There were witness who saw Zimmermon getting the crap beat out of him by Trayvon who was on top of him, who broke his nose and caused a cut on Zimmermons head that required stitches. Trayvon was a football player, 6’3’. According to Zimmermon he was attacked by Trayvon from behind and told by Trayvon that Trayvon was going to kill him. There is some evidence that Trayvon was in a gang. His girlfriend’s was talking to Trayvon on his cell phone at the time and pretty much backs up Zimmermons story. There are no “secret” witnesses. The Fox news interviewed witness simply didn’t want his name published. The police also interviewed a number of witness that support Zimmermans story. There were several 911 calls that say Trayvon was beating up Zimmerman. On at least one 911 call Zimmerman was heard screaming for help as he was getting his a$$ kicked. According to testimony Trayvon found Zimmermons gun and tried to take it away from him. The gun, a Kel-Tek PF9 holds 7 rounds in the magazine but an 8th round can be chambered. There were 7 rounds still in the magazine. That means the chambered round was fired and something kept the slide from going back far enough to reload the chamber from the magazine. This points to a fight over the gun.

Are there other possible explanations for the facts cited above? Sure, but those other explanations are not supported by any facts, yet.

We don’t know what happened yet. The police who investigated thought they knew what happened. The DA who got the police report declined to file charges. Unless you think the police and DA are racist people who will lie to let a white (actually Hispanic) off the hook then you have to believe that the preponderance of evidence supports that this was a self defense case.

Again, as horrible as the kids death is, so far ALL the facts point to self defense.

All this information is available, all you have to do is read. You should read before you make judgments, like Mr. Santorum did. His staff could have done a little research and then Santorum would have looked like the only enlightened person on this matter but instead he ate his foot.

It is creepy to be followed for no reason.

Excuse me, but killing someone for following you is not self defense, it is fear, or anger(in this case I would say anger),which motivates the attacker. If Trayvon attacked Zimmerman(and all evidence points to the fact he did), and the attack led to Zimmerman's death. TM would not be justified self defense. Only if Zimmerman physically attacked TM first would TM be justified.

He was on the phone to his girl, why didn't he call the cops if he was so scared of Zimmerman. I don't think TM was scared, I think he was guilty of the black male anger BS that makes many of them attack people for perceived slights and I blame the so called black leadership for nurturing this attitude among poor blacks.

> ...I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe a brokered convention will somehow produce a worthy candidate. If not, I'm writing in Sarah Palin...

That's my plan as well, as I've stated in many comments the past months as this unholy mess has unfolded. I'll be damned if I'll cast my vote -- my most precious political inheritance from the Founders of this Great Nation -- for someone I think is less than the Best for America. The freedom I enjoy came at the price of the lives of American patriots -- how dare I cast that vote for a person that I do not believe in?

God willing, I'll pull an (R) lever for Sarah Palin in November. But if He wills otherwise, I will write her in. I'm sure I can find a pen somewhere around this place, there's no excuse for settling for less than the Best.

I enjoyed your FR profile page, Windflier. Very well stated and a good read.

This is a major gaffe on Santorum’s part. I’ve not been a huge fan of the guy because I feel he lacks the maturity for the office. I know our criminal justice system is far from perfect, but his pandering to the MSM on this subject makes him toast in my mind.

I was so angry when 0bamao interjected himself into this playing the race card. Santorum doing the same cr*p is just infuriating. I want a CONSERVATIVE, not a pantywaist! I pray for a brokered convention.

My feelings exactly. Millions of Americans have gone before us, who bled, sweated, and died to create the finest nation the world has ever known.

It would be a crime against everything I believe in, to give my vote to some unworthy politician, for the sake of playing a political game. I'd rather keep my personal integrity intact, and state my choice for the best person I can think of to carry forward the intentions of the Framers and the good people of America.

Nothing less is acceptable, in my opinion.

Thanks for the kind words about my profile page. I wrote that when I first joined, and haven't edited a single word since. I've been meaning to get back in there and tweak it a bit. Much appreciated.

I actually sent this guy a check. Idiot. This guy has zero ability to play his cards close to his vest. How in heaven’s name did he ever win a national office? If this is the best we can do, we really are screwed.
