I have seen a lot of FReepers state that they would NEVER cast a vote for Romney. That is my gut reaction as well. Mitt is on record saying that I will vote for him eventually. His arrogance makes me want to prove him wrong and write in a candidate. But I fear that will lead to 4 more years of Obama. Until I stare at the ballot in November, I don't know for sure what I will do. If it is a choice between Obama and Romney, what will you do?
No.
Here’s my beef - Why do we now have to work so damn hard to STOP a Romney nomination when the GOP-E, if there were a full set of balls and a half a brain amongst that cabal, KNEW that Masscare was a FATAL DISQUALIFICATION for the nomination in the first place?
Now Romney’s got Coulter, Drudge, Rove, and dozens of others drooling on his kneecaps this late in the process. Millions of dollars and millions of volunteer hours will have been wasted because somebody couldn’t talk sense to this guy THE DAY MASSCARE PASSED THE MASSSACHUSETTS SENATE!!
All it would have taken was, “Mitt, nice work, but you know you can’t be the nominee, right? You know that was the price, right?
Nope, like Dole, like McCain, he was next in line.
So, yeah. The GOP picked their candidate over a year ago, and they are PISSED we aren’t going along with it. Peggy Noonan wrote as much about a month ago.
There WAS a nominee. We changed that at the grass roots, but at what point is this party going to f*cking clue in to the idea that it is time to FINALLY give a conservative a shot at it.
Sorry, but its guys like you that are trying to hang the future of the country on guys like me who WILL NOT STAY ON THE RESERVATION when I WASN’T THE GUY WHO LEFT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
Nope, if you get Obama Do. Not. Blame. Me.
You can blame the Cardinals in the GOP college that sent the white smoke up the chimney on this fraud from before the first primary. Romney was a presumption. You are trying to perpetrate that presumption.
For me, I think Gingrich SHOULD stay in. Between Santorum and Gingrich, they should pull every free-thinking, liberty-cherishing conservative left in the party and when they go to broker the convention, they can be a ticket and send Romney back to the People’s Republic of Massachusetts.
So SICK of the lectures about another four years of Obama.
Can you IMAGINE if McCain had actually won? I’m glad this idiot had to pull the scabs off of all the banks, the CME, ratings agencies, Fannie, Freddie, and Sallie. The D’s created this in the first place during Rubin/Clinton - LET THEM OWN IT!
Obama went so much better than owning the economy. He assaulted the church, bilked taxpayers out of billions, destroyed the commodities market with Corzine, etc.
If we win, let it be a conservative, or let the idiot Obama completely destroy the country. We apparently aren’t smart enough to learn from the last 100 years worth of mistakes. Before its over, I’ll be dead, or we’ll be chasing liberals down in the streets with weapons.
I’d rather not see it come to that, but if Romney gets the nod, Obama wins by default. “Thanks for the idea for Obamacare, Mitt, I couldn’t have done it without you!” And that’s it. That’s the election.
So please, peddle the ‘Obama is going to be your fault’ among McConnell, Cantor, and the rest of the college of Cardinals that picked that charlatan in the first place.
I’m not buying it, and neither should any sentient being still left in the conservative caucus.
Well said!
if Obama gets in you will never have another choice to vote. It will be over. Freedom will have gone down the tubes by the next time around the barn.
Remember!!! Everyone votes...
either by casting a ballot or throwing away a vote on a insignificant name, or by STAYING home.
Having given it some thought, no. I refuse to endorse (and when you vote for someone, you *are* endorsing them, no matter how you rationalize it) someone that in my view is nothing more than a Democrat who has an R next to his name. Based on his record as governor, Romney will be a President in Obama’s mold, regardless of what he says about what he will do. A Northeastern gun-grabbing liberal is what he is- and will continue to be elected. Besides, if he’s as electable as the GOP establishment believes, he doesn’t need real conservatives anyway- he can find some disaffected Democrats who will probably approve of his leftist policies more than I will. That, and and I believe a Romney candidacy or a Romney presidency would be the end of the conservative movement, because it would send the GOP elite the message that a socialist candidate is acceptable.
that should state “he will continue to be if elected.”
X@#!
Hi, listen you wrote a long heartfelt reply. You are calling on “them” to select the nominee by somehow telling Romney not to run. But you are pissed at “them” for supposedly picking Romney.
Stop crying, work for your candidate and that’s how it works. The elections are free and someone has to win. There is no “them” to tell one candidate they can’t win.
Smart, you are pledging to drop dead with your last vote electing Obama. Good strategy.
No. And I’ll work to take every vote from both lying socialists that I possibly can.
Guess I missed your part about “let Obama destroy the country.” I’m sorry but that is the talk of an a-hole. You mean “God Damn America!” I guess. Is this Rev. Wright?
Really people don’t run such a tight circle that you end up inside Obama’s rear end.
BS. The scrutiny given the signatures for Santorum and Newt in VA were unprecedented. This is a screw job of the highest RINO magnitude.
Nothing on earth will compel me to vote for Socialist Slick Willard. Nothing.
That’s it? The fact Gingrich and Santorum didn’t have enough signatures in Va? They screwed up. They’ve also been winning lots of states, especially Santorum.
I don’t know why people are crying in their milk here when you’re still in the middle of the contest.
Absolutely no. Why would I vote for an apostate? We already have an apostate in office.
I will vote for Santorum or Gingrich.
See my post @ #203. I believe I made myself clear then and I see no reason to change anything.
Thank God you can still make a choice. After November 2012, If Obama gets voted in again, I fear it will be the end of what we know as free elections in the USA. Romney might bide us some time to work on changing things. Obama won’t.
I certainly respect you and any other citizen for voting or not your conscience.
God Help the USA is my prayer.
A great quote!
“The elections are free and someone has to win. There is no them to tell one candidate they cant win.”
That’s a fatally naive view of things.
Obama just figured he’d throw his hat in the ring, knock Hillary out of the box, have the entire media establishment block for him, and the entire thing was an accident.
That’s about as likely as a team of monkey’s hammering out a sonnet on a typewriter.
I too am sick of people throwing out there that if we don't vote for whoever gets this primary we're voting for Obam bull crap.
We can fight Obama...and if we appoint a rebublican house and senate fully we can stop him.
But any who vote for Romeny will have no option to fight for it will all be done behind closed doors....you won't know which way he's going to move...and further who's really in charge.....cause you're voting for the elites in his corporation he calls a church. Would you vote for Reid?
