For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke.
I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level.
My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.

Rush knew from the start what a stir this would cause as he did mention this would be bigger than the phony soldier situation when he did it. He is calling attention to what the Democrats are doing and now everyone knows. Furthermore, now everyone knows this political activist wants our tax money to subsidize her many sexual activities and Obama and the Democrats are all for it. Way to go Rush!

The left wins because the left controls the media. What do we have, Fox News? And even with Fox News sometimes they don’t come out and defend Conservatives who have been attacked. The left has the majority of the media, that is why we are outnumbered..and it was fake outrage anyway, they were just using this to their advantage. I respect Rush’s right to apologize if he chooses to, I would NOT have, because he was absolutely right in saying what he said

No, he didn’t cave. He merely stated he chose the wrong word. Just what the appropriate word should be is anyone’s guess. Knowing Rush, it was along those same lines. People are overlooking the obvious in this so-called apology. I get upset with FReepers sometimes, as they don’t read below the surface of things.

Rush did what he had to do. Either that or no more Rush, it’s as simple as that. Besides, that was no apology becuz I know Rush’ style and he no more changed his mind than any of us have. I think he’s brilliant . The damage is done, he said what he said and as much as he “apologizes” he can’t unsay or unthink or unfeel what he has. Way to go Rush! Now let’s just say the same thing in a more kind and civilized way. Knowing Rush he’ll find a way
