Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.
We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.
Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, andfamouslyI enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. Ive lost friends, perhaps dozens. But Ive gained hundreds, thousandswho knows?of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

Sudden heart attacks do happen, even in the most healthy. This is not a conspiracy theory, it is the reality of being human.
Well said, I too hope that Andrew’s work becomes the template for the next wave of conservative journalists and activists.
This is a devastating loss for our side. His fearlessness was second to none. You can’t replace a Brietbart. He was an original.
Sad. This happened to a 40 yr old at our church last year. Walking/jogging , came home and dropped dead.
‘natural causes’ at 43 is extremely unlikely....
Rest in peace Andrew, and if this turns out to be “unnatural”, may God bring justice to those who meted out justice to you.
Other than Steve Irwin, (and clearly his was NOT natural causes), I don’t know that I can think of a death that was quite as unexpected.
What a loss.

There either won’t be an autopsy or it won’t find anything or it will find more drugs than Amy Winehouse that won’t be explained. Nothing will be settled.
64 isn’t really that old.
Sorry for your loss.
Hello, friend.
I admit that I have suspicious thoughts running through my head.
RIP Mr. Breitbart.

>Fox News reporting that Andrew was out walking around midnight. Someone saw him fall, called 911. Apparently he did have heart problems.<
Anyone who ever followed Andrew on Twitter knows the hate and viciousness with which he dealt on a daily basis. It did get to him, although it never stopped him. The kind of attacks would stress anyone.
Even if he did die of natural causes, you can bet his many, many enemies were a definite factor in putting him at a constant stress level that could very well have put an enormous strain on his heart and blood pressure.
RIP Andrew. Your loss is incalculable.
Especially since they are saying he was out walking around midnight when someone saw him go down.
He looked rough at CPAC this year.
With the limited info we currently have, you're ready to close the case? Interesting.
They’ll have to do an autopsy.
Was it common practice for him to take midnight strolls?
