Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.
We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior.
Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

I turned on the TV and the announcement was the first thing I heard today. What a shock! He went too young.
Daily KOS says to keep it respectful, but the collective are not. They say that the conservatives including Breitbart didn’t give any respect to Ted Kennedy when he died. I don’t know about that but really what does it matter. They should take the high road and be respectful. I guess that is too difficult for them.
Jonah Goldberg personally appeared on FOX, sadly trying to overcome the tears to no avail.
What a giant enemy the Left had in Andrew Breitbart!
There is NO ONE who replaces his FEARLESSNESS. In that style of utter FEARLESSNESS, he is distinctly IRREPLACEABLE!
Oh, that you and I should be so brave as Andy, the great patriot thunder foot willing to tread on serpents.

Natural causes — at 43? That’s a shame. I didn’t see eye-to-eye with him all the time, but Breitbart was mostly a good egg. I’ll miss him.

He had dinner with Bill Ayers, and Ayers did the cooking.
Now he’s dead??
On the other hand, it happens a lot that young people suddenly die.
People have mentioned heart attacks and brain bleeds...the latter is what a college teacher of mine died from. She was a tennis instructor and an avid horseback rider. She was riding her horse one day and suddenly went limp and fell off to the ground.
A brain bleed.
She was 39 and full of life.
It happens.
Dear Lord, hold this family up, and wrap them in your arms of love at this moment of deep grief. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!
I think we know the answer to that...and it's not that big a stretch to go there.

My father died 17 years ago today - massive heart attack, age 64. Not as young as Mr. Breitbart, but too young, in fact. March 1 always sucks for me. Sadder now.
RIP Andrew. You were a GREAT WARRIOR for truth and freedom and you will be sorely missed. My family’s prayers go out for your young family.
You’ve served as a great model for patriotic American activists. I pray that your associates will carry on the fight with the energy, strength and spirit that you epitomized.
Only 40? Wow. Did he have heart problems for years or was this something that came on suddenly?
Fox News reporting that Andrew was out walking around midnight. Someone saw him fall, called 911. Apparently he did have heart problems.
Guilty here. But Breitbart never murdered any young women.
So sad!! I’d just finished reading his book last month and thought is was fantastic.
......just sayin....
