Not all coroners will automatically do a autopsy. If it has already been deemed natural causes, if he has had any medical history of certain conditions, it’s possible a too-busy county coroner won’t bother unless the family insists and are willing to wait a lengthy amount of time, for their turn in line, for it to be done, prolonging burial.
Sadly, I won’t be surprised at all if no autopsy is done.
